why in the world would they have Man-Wolf as a villian in the movie.

Man-Wolf is JJJ Jr.! and if he's the one to bring back the symbiote, he'll already have been introduced to the audience

I think Man-Wolf is to little of a character to have as a villian in a movie. If it is any one it will be Dr. Conners or it will be Carnage

Too little to be a FOURTH (!) villian?

I could see Man-Wolf being a possibility. I think a lot of people would have said Sandman was "too little" to be a villian too.

Carnage would be terrible, that's for sure.

WHy would Carnage be terrible? He is such a powerful villian and Spidey could easily take down Man-wolf before he could stop Carnage.

A couple reasons:

Carnage (in the minds of many comic fans) is part of the "bad 90s" stories, where uber-badass characters with little motivation were the norm.

How long do you think the movie will be? If Carnage is in the movie, he'd have to appear after Venom. Which means he'd be the last fight (or possibly, next to last, if he fights Harry). Since Carnage adds nothing to the story (he's a psychopath? Yawn.), that'd be a little anti-climatic.

Carnage doesn't fit into the overall structure of the movie. Harry hires Sandman, and Venom is the result of a major theme of the movie (darkness within). Carnage is...a serial killer. He's meaningless to the Spider-Man mythos. Green Goblin and Venom are not.

Carnage would be hard to stick to anything the comics did. Unless Eddie goes to jail, he can't be in prison. He can't have a Maximum Carnage story arc (unless it was its own movie). See my above comment that IMDB reports that the actress who plays Aunt May is also playing Carnage. Even with IMDB being wrong about a lot, if that's even close to right, Carnage is nothing like the comic book version. See also how Carnage was handled in Ult. Spidey.

Lastly, Carnage is already nearly the exact same as Venom when it comes to fights (with the added use of the symbiote to become weapons). A movie wouldn't waste the time with a random, meaningless villian, when they have a nearly identical one who is already involved.

To be done well, Carnage needs to be the main villian in his own, Maximum Carnage-style Spider-Man movie.



On your point about Man-Wolf, do you expect this 4th villian (if there is one) to have more than 15 minutes of screen time? We already have Harry as the main villian, Sandman as a major player, and Venom as the climax of Spider-Man's inner struggle. I expect this 4th villian to be a 10 minute opening to the movie, nothing more. Man-Wolf would easily be a 10 minute fight early in the movie, to immediately give us action.

Thanks for the link. With 4 villians, I don't see how the last will be anything major. Unless they barely use Harry and Venom, and put that off for another movie.

Lizard would be fine. Man-Wolf would be simplier though, since Lizard would have to be defined as a character (Doc Connors, my teacher, wanted to regrow his limb, used lizard DNA because Lizards regrow limbs, blah blah blah). It would be simple to have another villian be a mysterious, "where-wil-he-show-up-next" type, and a werewolf fits in with that (though Lizard could too).

Man-Wolf has the added bonus of being JJ Jr, who is likely the reason for the symbiote. If you have one outer space tie-in, two is easy to do also, and you don't need to spend a lot of time developing Man-Wolf (he's a rampaging monster).

Lizard would be cooler to see, personally. Cinema has seen enough werewolves.

If I remember right Man-Wolf came from a rock JJJ Jr. brought back from outer space and night it turned into a Werewolf and he had no clue he did it. And Spidey ended up stopping him by tearing the rock off his chest.

Scorpion(would look cool) or vulture or shocker; some useless loser who gets his ass handed to him everynow and then? First 10 mins of the movie he fights spidey then spidey beats him blah blah. Then we see spinning news papers saying "yay go spiderman" and something like that, then I guess the acctual story would start...hmm? I guess more(or less now that ive re-read what i wrote.) of a plot would be that the fight is printed on the second page while JJ jr and his space thingy would be printed on the first page thus enraging the "loser" bad guy and making him work for free for the new GG :3 Off course this may sound cheesey It could be just the above writen 9-11mins of action for the opening scenes??
