Isn't Controller Sanction the one that makes EE characters unstunable and give the +X attack for resources all at the low low price of KOing a resource?
It's a generic KO-resource-for-unstunnable-attacker with a kicker that an EE attacker also gets face-up resources as an ATK bonus. But yeah, that did look like a very Curtisesque decklist. I wonder, if it's his, how well he did.

0-4 drop? I don't mean to belittle Curtis, from everyone I've talked to he's a good guy. He just has some interesting ideas and this one seemed to not have worked out. The decklist jumped out at me when I was looking through them cause it had some cards I never expected to see play.
It's probably not his. I don't really know. It's just that I've had conversations with him about deckbuilding, and our philosophies about card selection differ somewhat. He generally does prefer trying to squeeze in answers for everything when possible, even if there's not a solid search engine in place to filter them out. The deck sounds a lot like an update on an old Avengers/Squadron equipment deck we has working on when I stayed at his place in Reno for a PCQ there.
I still think Keeblers Powells favorite deck would great if it were legal. Just ask him next time you see him at a PC to play you a game with his black tom deck! :-P

Like his GK deck with more than 60 cards, a bunch of 1 of PTs and no Alfred?
I'm saddened that this is what Curtis took to PC: LA. I can't say I'm surprised, I'm just dissapointed. Seriously, why can't he just take advice from people? Everyone from GoB wants to see Curtis do well and when we give him our input it's straight from our heart and our experiences. Maybe we're just really bad at getting it across, but I want to emphasize if you'r reading this Curtis:

It's doubly sad when you have a perfectly valid search engine, but there does seem to be a 'heart of the cards' thing there in his deck building. Of course, I've got something of the opposite problem, where I find it hard to justify splashes and overly toolboxing even when I have the means to do so effectively.
It could be interesting if someone, ideally better at deckbuilding than I am, would go really in-depth into explaining the testing and refining process, as well as giving some insight into why certain things do and don't work well, in practice.

I know a lot of people find MJ not their cup of tea but if you've listened to his Tech Upgrade interview with docx, his theories on deckbuilding and card choices are quite good.
One thing of note that he said was something like the main criteria for cards you should have 4 of in your deck is that whenever you draw it, early or late, it will be useful.
Patrick should chime in sometime on his deckbuilding strategy, because more times than not, I always wonder how he fits cards into his builds and how he decides the correct ratios.
Probably the biggest reason why Vs has become much less appealing to me is the lack of 'pro' discussion on the game. If anyone should write, Jacob should write. While Vidi probably still holds on to the mantle of best 'player', I dont think anyone with any insight into the Pro scene can deny that Jacob has probably influenced the Pro game more than anyone else. His mind has been a dominant contributor to so many decks and strategies that it has been a terrible shame to see him consumed by his ego and withdrawn rather than even sharing a smidgeon of what would be extremely valuable information. Sure, it would probably mean people would get better and he would make less money, but it doesnt make it any less of a disappointment for people like me.
The guy posted his deck list and told us how to play it before he went and Top 8'd a PC with it. He can afford to share. lol Knowledge alone can't beat talent like that.
