Damn, erick. You turned this place into a wating room at the hospital. Good times.
Okay, while we sit and worry....
I didn't do that... UDE did.
Honestly, when Jeff said we would get an OP update last Friday... I feel we should have got something. Not another update that we would have to wait until Monday.
That may sound nitpicky but I don't have access to the information you may be privy to. When players are asking me what room the PCQ is at next weekend and I can't tell them if it's still on or not... that's irritating to say the least. I made announcements at our Sneak and posted on this board regarding our upcoming PCQs and now they are placed on hold.
Local players planned to attend next weekend's PCQ because they are very excited about MTU and playing in the Sealed format. At least one player booked tickets for Aussie without being qualified and was hoping that next weekend's event would give him the points he needs. Maybe that's our fault for scheduling those events in the first place but there may have been some miscommunication about that which I'm not aware of.
I have to see it from all sides. While I think a change in the PCQ program is a great idea... it comes to a point where some information needs to be given out faster. I can wait on $50ks since those aren't going to be scheduled (?) until after the PC. Hobby Leagues needs to revamped and I can wait for that too. But since PCQs is the only OP we have at the local level, given only a week's notice, I think it's only fair to inform our players of any changes as soon as possible.
Again... this doesn't mean PCQs are cancelled altogether. And even if that were true, I'm sure UDE has worked out a system for qualifying for PCs (there are still ratings invites).
We had 24 at our last PCQ? So I dont think that the PCQS was a bad idea or loosing ude money...maybe they should just be scheduled in more populated areas or something...o well I will wait to the announcement

1. I have no more information than you do. In fact, I have less.
2. Nitpick all you want, but understand one thing. This thread had nowhere to go. You gave us information, and we are waiting for the announcement to see what it means. It IS like a hospital waiting room and if you didn't want that... you should have thought a little bit about it before you started the thread.
3. It's not a problem, we are having fun with the coloring books while we wait for the doctor.

People demanded that, if they weren't going to get the information, to at least be told WHEN they'd get the information. They were given a date. Things change, and they didn't have the infromation on Friday. What 'something' could they give them other than the truth that there was a bit more that needed to be completed before they could do the announcement.
I think the bumper sticker said it best ... stuff happens [or something like that] ...
Should the information have been out sooner? Yes.
However, part of your problem stems from people making plans based on information that was later changed.
Do you really want UDE to be giving information out and then changing it later? Isn't it best to not give out information before it's confirmed completely?
I understand the need for people to get information in a timely manner in order to be able to make plans. However, is it worse to have no information and thus have to do last minute planning or to make plans and have to CHANGE those plans when the early information ends up changing?
Now vote on the best pic. You can only choose one.
1. Strange Love
2. Thanos Squeezing
3. Big Boy Thanos
4. Little Thanos
5. Shuma
6. Mysterio cracked
7. Mysterio twinned
8. Linda Blair
9. Frank Drake
10. Mephisto Guzzling
11. Your Face on a Card
Yeah... I love me some Strange Love.
Oh yeah, and the art on the card of the same name is good, too.
Lets have a vote on which side of frosted mini-wheats is the best: Frosted or Wheat (Hey look Stu i found the shift key again. Maybe I'll use it forever. LOL)

I completely understand... remember... it's what I was saying about all the other complaints.
For all I know, we were never supposed to schedule those PCQs and our PTO was unaware of that. Now, maybe he's not telling me the whole story so that I won't blab it all here but I don't think the weekend will change any plans they may have already put into place.
They could have given us more general information on Friday and the details today.
For example:
I understand we were supposed to have an update on the VS OP program today but we won't be fully prepared until Monday. Currently, the PCQ season is on hold until that announcement. This does not affect PCQs that were scheduled for the Legion of Superheroes season as those will still be held as scheduled.
On Monday we will give you a full update on:
- PCQs
- Hobby League and City Championships
- PC Indy
- Future PCs
- Future $10ks
- Future $50ks
- Future Sneak Previews
Maybe that is asking too much but that helps prepare the players for whatever is coming and also explains why PTOs are not able to schedule future PCQs and why some PTOs had to remove PCQs from their schedules.

You really can't see pass those UDE-colored glasses can you?
This thread confirmed to our local players that we did remove the PCQs from our schedule and that the one for this weekend may be cancelled. It is also to remind them that more information should follow in today's announcement (some people on this board don't read all the "negative" posts and are actually unaware of today's announcement).
I don't know about you, but I'm not in the habit of keeping my players in the dark.

You know, some day in the future when Vs. System is completely and utterly dead, you are going to realize that it was killed not by the players who shared information with each other, or the ones who dared to criticize UDE for bungling payments or schedules or announcements, but by UDE themselves. You will also realize that all the people you have criticized for complaining about UDE's mismanagement love(d) the game just as much as you do, and that the only reason they bothered to complain or share news or whatever was precisely because they loved the game and didn't want to see it implode. And, if you are feeling particularly insightful on that day, you may even realize that all your cheerleading was in fact counterproductive, because it was sending UDE a loud message that what they were doing was OK, and that they didn't need to do any better, even though that was what was desperately needed.
That day will come, Stu, and on that day you are going to be kicking yourself for all the days like today that you foolishly criticized your fellow players. Please wear steel-toed boots that day, OK?
