They should have made the game, so that when you play over the internet you had to buy your own cards, but if you wanted to play against the computer or a friend, you could just have an unlimited card library.

Or just earn your cards in the game, like most card-based video games do. Complete a tournament, win a few packs and some cash to spend on more cards (depending on how you finished).
I'm hoping this is how the DS version works...I would hate to only play with pre-constructed decks, and I really can't afford to pay for both digital AND physical packs of cards.
You can use the cards you win in story mode with the PSP for Ad-Hoc and LAN games. I'd imagine the PC Retail and DS versions will be the same.
From the manual:
"For ad-hoc and LAN games, you use the cards you accumulate in the single
player Story Mode. Online games do not allow you to use cards from the
single player game. Online cards are purchased in the online card store."
it is so fun winning with the starter decks on there. This is what versus was meant to be at its core. Just fun to attack well and reinforce, making plays that don't seem good at first glance.
To those of you who are having problems that begin with:
"Cannot initialize video..." It seems that the official word from the game's forum is that the video card will not support gameplay. The only way around this is if you change video cards to something that will support it, or if Konami decides to release a patch/update that'll somehow work with other video cards.
Any word on this situation yet? I find this to be utter crap. Why would you not have this compatible with all newer video cards? I want to play but I'm not going out to update my video card.
I keep being redirected to file planet and I am not paying a suscription fee to download things.
I thought the same thing at first. but if you look at the last two or three downloads servers on the bottom, they are free down load sites. I guess they are suppose to be slower sites but I downloaded the entire 1.15G in about an hour.
