All that doing this would do is make Modern insanity Golden. I have built and scraped so many Insanity for each block, and all of them have one theme in common.... DOOM!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah, but w/ spider-man and superman, there is an excuse (clones FTW) Doom has no allies, and Batman has so many because they haven't gotten it right yet.
There are decent wolverines already and I cannot see how they could justify an 8 drop Logan. So you would be looking at 13 (forgive me if your 9 included legends) different cards from turn 4 to 7. Seems a bit much.

I like how DWF handled the reprints, and I would hope that this set would be more of the same. The MK refeature is a pleasant surprise (more Danny and Luke) Little bummed they wouldn't do some Crime Lords at the same time as MK.

33 X-men ,wow. Maybe its a mini exiles team, Dual-Affiliated with X-men (BOP style) but with just the original members and Sunfire. One can hope.

Also, the Legend set is supposed to be bigger, which would help explain how the teams can be so 'large'.

I'm really quite disappointed to hear Doom's back AGAIN. His face on the Elite Series playmat had me thinking this might be the case, but I was hoping otherwise.

Other than that, I'm happy to see Marvel Knights get the last slot; We can't avoid X-Men (and I collect them anyway), so that's good, but it's still the Fan4 refeature that has me the most excited.

The big question for me is, just which of the Fan4 will get the Legends treatment? One? Two? All four?

I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for Beta Ray Bill to be splashed in somewhere... and for Stilt-Man to be in Civil War. Heh.

according to the online solicitation I saw there are 273 cards in the set. so if we have the five featured teams and they get an average of 33 characters each that leaves 108 cards for plot twists, locations, equipment, and off-affiliation/unaffiliated characters.

I think Bill would almost have to be unaffiliated. While he's affiliated with Thor and the Asgardians, he's not an Avenger; he's teamed with Spidey once or twice, and he's currently in the Omega Flight miniseries (though not as a an official team member - yet), but he's just not really affiliated anywhere, so he'd either need to be unaffiliated or lumped in with the "just barely" affiliated Marvel Knights.

I collect Brotherhood characters, and even though I think that reprint them again is a little excessive, I really like the idea to have more Brotherhood cards!

And... a possible Magneto legend deck... GOOD!!!!

If Iron Fist or Dr. Strange gets the Legend treatment (I know Danny won't, but the Brubaker/Fraction Iron Fist series is too good not to hope - seriously, it's actually too good), I shall buy many packs. Otherwise...well, Magneto could be interesting. But if he's my man in this set, I'll likely stick to singles. Though Exiles/AoA could be interesting as mini-teams.

I am glad the MK gets a refeature, though. Soon...CRIME LORDS!

I can easily see some Avengers/MK versions for Strange, Cage, Iron Fist, Wolverine, Echo and maybe Spider-Man.

As for MK though I am amused by the prospect of an assault weapon laden Punisher legend deck.

Not that I wouldn't like to see some characters from AoA, but isn't it probably recommended reading as the origin of X-Man and possibly Blink (if she's in the set)

That could be the answer, but it doesn't ease the tease.

So who on each team gets the Legends treatment?

For X-Men we know Wolverine and Jean Grey get the three card specific name plot twists. My guess is that Doom might only be Doom. The FF might be all four where you get bonuses for having as many of the four, which they tried in Origins. Marvel Knights would be either Daredevil, Punisher, Elektra, Ghost Rider or Blade, since all have movies based on them and are mainstream. And the Brotherhood would be Magneto and Mystique (maybe Sabertooth.) Those are just my guesses, we will see more this week.

Just so you are aware you can take the if part off of Blink.



We could get Legend cards for Magneto and have it be a X-men with version AOA. Might be the way to sneak some AOA stuff into a set.

Oh and not all of the Wolverine's would be on the X-men. One being Berserk Rager, another being Healing Factor. There will be one other in the set and a possible 4th right afterward? Which teams might find Wolverine slicing and dicing for them?

wait Age of Apocalypse is going to be in the set so does that mean Hulk<>War version?
