Also, I'd just like to note that the Frank/Logan fight coverage was great. ;)
Being a devoted fan of Marvel's mad man, reading that ending made me smile.
F*** Wolverine.
Go back to Michigan, they need your help.
The article goes live tomorrow, so there's not much time to place your bets.
Also, after submitting the article and reviewing my notes of the game, I realised that my buddy had been mis-playing one of the cards. I'm sure some bright spark out there will pick up on it. I don't think it affected the result really, so no harm done.
Seeing the decklists is for pussies.
I bet you like to see your cards before going all in at poker too....geeze.
[/sarcasm]
My betting greens are on Doom to take next weeks match. I wish I could imagine the Phoeni-Jean taking down the mean, green PHD, but she doesn't have half the tools (especially off initiative ones) he does........although I suppose if the gloom deck goes stall, then Jean's in her element....hmmm
Nope....still can't see her doing it.
Green on Green.
GKSFDude beat me to the punch. I was wondering that as well since I went back and re-read it and couldn't see how Sabertooth was not getting a stunback unless I'm just missing something between the lines.
yep. shenanigans on that whole first game. if it played out exactly like that then ghost rider wouldve lost 8 extra endurance from stuns and therefore lost 0 to -2. course its tough to say if it wouldve gone down exactly like that had that mistake been realized but still...
I may be odd man out here, but... Jean Grey. I don't think in this case it necessarily comes down to Legends (though Jean Gray on 5 WILL be huge, and impossible for Doom to break down). It's going to come down to the rest of the team supporting them. Remember, the cards are supported by Marvel Legends one-team only, and Doom is far inferior to X-men.
So that, combined with the fact that these are curve decks (making Doom's Tank awful) and the consistancy that Jean is going to lend the deck makes me say Jean takes it down.

Wolverine Shennanigans - Hmm, that is weird, I'll have to look at my game notes to see what's up. But I know we both concurred. Mind you, were were playing at about 01:00 after several bottles of Corona. If it helps, we ####ed up with Juggernaut (3) and didn't leave him exhausted the turn after he attacked. Reading cards is a good thing I hear. See, Yin/Yang. The world will find a balance.
