I'll be judging. I know of four players who won't be showing up because there has been no Organized Play announcement and, as far as they're concerned, the game's dead. When they come to me saying "You know folks at UDE. What the heck is going on?" I have no answer for them. I think our general numbers will be down and, if I had to guess attendance, I'd say 8-12 (which is down from 20 last ES).
My feeling right now is the combination of no OP announcement + QuickSilver Age Format for the ES = lower attendance this time around. I've got a moderate feeling that having the format be Modern would have had more players showing up since they wouldn't have to deal with the testing for the boringness that is Quicksilver. I'm positive that if there was an OP announcement letting the Vs players know what's in the future, there'd be a lot more players showing up.
As it is, I predict low turnout and a general feeling of ennui at the tournament. I hope I'm wrong.
Im lucky enough to have 2 within a hour of me, I want to play but I sold my enemies/mobilizes and have no mtu-mvl. I would take insanity just to go play vs with the local guys but im missing like 5 rares, its 20$, and the locals might not even be there.

I would have went with 2 full carloads of players (The Sacramento Crew) if the prize support had been worth the trip...but its not.
The cost of this event is slightly more polite than being mugged, but the difference is a mugger doesn't try to convince you that getting mugged was worth the money you lost, unlike those hosting or judging this event.

Will it help you convince them and yourself to cum if we framed it more like a rape and tried to convince you it was worth what you'll lose...or win!
The Sac crowd has got to descend or Vs. really is dead.
Would Sunday have made it better? Now I'm feeling guilty.
Don't even joke about changing it now, You can be so damn wishy-washy! But seriously these things take planing for some people! and I have no sitter set up for Sunday!

Just for that... I'm moving it to Tuesday.
I've never changed the date on an Elite Series once I've set it up. It's those other Hobby League/Marquee events that get shifted around so much.
I'm not going to mine. The prize support=very sub-par for an OMFG of an entry fee. I'll work that day and make $50 instead of losing $20. And UDE STILL asleep at the wheel by leaving Quicksilver in the format. Does UDE need a skill-less deck in every format just to piss people off or what's up?
Also, to you people who are saying "well, maybe UDE is waiting for the attendence of the Elite Series to tell us our OP Announcement. Well Sunshine, that's what you said about the sales of MTU...and the sales of DWF...and the Pro Circuit...and the 10k...and the First Elite Series...AND the sales of MVL...and now the Second Elite Series. Anyone noticing a pattern (besides the obvious multitude of dots)?
If only people could be as optimistic about life as they are about the OP Announcement...
