A term used to describe card interactions that are not nearly as overpowered as members of Vs Realms claim. Arises when members hit the panic button way too early, and without researching solutions to the problem first.
I want to know where all these activated effects are and the cards to discard to allow Random to ready 7 times?
I watched a Wolverine deck at my legends deck take a guy from 55 to -12 on turn 5 with no Fate Artifacts so I guess Wolverine and his Plot Twists should be banned too
well let's see
with multiple ways to draw rediculous amounts of cards in the deck
discarding 7 cards on 5 isn't hard
(New Baxter Building=Ego Gem(which is another activated effect)+probably othery ways he had i'm not thinking of)
that wolverine deck, that's a nutz draw
it's not hard for the random deck to get you down from 35 to -15 on turn 5
and all the one drops you play in the deck activate to do something
Turn 1:Ted Kord
turn 2:Two more one drops or forge
turn 3:Random
Turn 4:More 1 drops
Turn 5:More 1 drops
with all the cards you mass with ego gem and new baxter building over the span of that time
plus probably mind gem it's not difficult to do that
Banning talk = silly. You'll KNOW when something needs to be banned. The metagame will suffer severely because of it. Perhaps someone will come out with the perfect, unstoppable Random deck. Until then, people should pack equipment hate (shouldn't they be packing that anyway?) and one of CaaptainCuba's solutions.
Random = annoying, but far from broken. Just like QuickFate.
Sure there are answers to this but I don't think random was supposed to be swinging mutliple times with his power. My guess he was supposed to be fuel for the torch deck and then maybe he can still attack once afterward. I think we may see a ban or errata simply because he isn't working "as intended" now that we actually are supposed to care about OP.
All you guys going Fate-Afacts broken in reference to this guy seem silly. I would rather just BPRD signal device him, since the fate-afacts cost you so many cards in hand. With Sneak Attack you are not getting stunback anyways. Then you just run more pumps and consistency stuff in exchange for all those burnt up slots.
1. The list you posted is 69 friken cards.
2. 198 Teams up Bro and X, not FF which you run 8 of.
3. If HERBIE is activating to a gem, he isn't transferring equips.
4. Why run Valeria, you don't run Doom, IW, or Mr. F?
5. Magneto 3 owns you, buh bye 1 drop, Extraction + Metallic Assault=GG
6. You can't beat Quickfate or 12-Man.
7. Zinco + (Blackheart, Gambit, Ravager, Kate Kane) = GG
8. Anarchy is back in a month.
9. Ummmm Betrayal Most Foul?
10. Quick Kill and Punisher...
11. Blade
12. Southern Belle
13. Reality Gem
14. You can't beat Quickfate or 12 Man.
15. Firewall + Firewall + Heatwave before combat = GG
16. Ted Kord cycles out in a month.
Um, no. Ego Gem + Baxter Building is NOT going to compensate for the card disadvantage of playing 3 Fate artifacts, using multiple turn-length pumps, and going off-curve for the little activators. There's no way you still have 7 discards left after that.
This deck just doesn't work. You're crying over nothing.
I watched a Wolverine deck at my legends deck take a guy from 55 to -12 on turn 5 with no Fate Artifacts so I guess Wolverine and his Plot Twists should be banned too
Blade
Heatwave
Blackheart
Rogue <> Southern Belle
Nocturne
Nasty Surprise
Gambit <> Swamp Rat
Ravager
Do I need to go on...?
CC
Blade, you can't target and it says "the next time"
Heatwave, Maybe yeah.
Blackheart, you can't target him.
Rogue, you stun her first.
Nocturne, only on your attack, and I guess you don't drop it until you win.
Nasty Suprise, can't be stunnned right?
Gambit, only on your attack.
Ravager, can't be a target.

Speaking of 198 How do you flip it when you have all those other affiliations on the field?
I'll add Betrayal Most Foul then...
CC
Equipment hate, thats fair enough.
Betrayal Most Foul, I think they just stun a random character.

2. Doesn't matter I think you only need X Men for the Sneak Attack.
3. This guy doesn't know how to play the deck, but if you transfer it you can get an additional 2 activations. (Himself and the ego gem that transfered)
5. Again only on your attack.
8. Again only on your attack step can you try and KO the Random.
9. Stun a random one drop.
10. Again stun on your attack.
11. Only works "the next time"
12. Attack her first.
13. Only on your recruit, and if he doesn't flip it until he recruits you don't get the effect.
14. Deja Vu?
16. Not really a counter, lol.
To stew's last comment lol... to the suggestions of a betrayal most foul, in this scenerio, the random player has tons of one drops. He'll just stun one of those. I say lets find a time machine and flash forward to the dc set after Legends, so we wont have to deal with silver age fate suit BS anymore! Quick fate will be a long gone memory, lost forever in the annuls of Golden Age, where we can all ignore it and just go on living our lives. That will be a good day indeed when DC set X(if current wishlists have any sway at all, Green Lantern vs. Sinestro Corp) becomes legal for tournament play. Oh happy day indead. Shove all the busted/broken crap into golden where it can be happily ignored, both becuase no one plays golden as a compeitive format anymore, and also becuase silver bullet will destroy all of it.
2. Yeah the list only runs 1 X-men character. The 2-drop. Good Luck Hitting that drop consistently AND your team-up.
3. So Herbie only transfers to Valeria, cuz his team-up only teams up Brohood and X. I guess he could do himself, but he activated...noh well.
5. Yeah, cuz not only is your deck amazingly inconsistent, but you win EVERY die roll too. Also, no hidden-hate for Nocturne, and Assault is in recovery.
6. You STILL can't beat Quickfate or 12-Man...add Moloids to that too.
7. Cool, ignore the infinite ways your deck curls up and dies...
8. See point 2...add Anarchy...
9. So if you're running Most Foul, you're probably (sarcasm) playing Brohood, in which case see point 5. brohood means you're losing AT LEAST one character per turn.
10. Ok, I'll bite. Punisher 2 with M60, Panther with a mechanism, or Guns Blazing on turn 4. Pick one, on either initiative 3 or 4 WILL KO your Random, Fatesuit or not.
11. Not a blockade...still a speedbump. Add a Giftwrapped on all your weenies BEFORE combat and wha happens then?
12. Even better, so let's say you have initiative on turn 4, that means that Mgas, Juggs, Nocturne, and friends have probably stunned your board on 3 (you did drop your precious Forge on 2 right?) So here we are, you with Random and a couple of weenies against a full board of Brohood characters that can reinforce themselves to mitigate damage and Belle burning you for 4 every time you activate said weenies.
13. See point 2. yet again. I need to fetch ONE equip, you need to keep a fragile 2 drop on the board until turn 4 and 5.
14. Still can't beat them.
15. Yeah Torch owns you now...add Anarchy in a month.
16. Cool, run it at City Champs...where everyone runs equiphate...good luck with that.
You come up against a combo.
You cannot beat that combo.
Do you think that combo is unfair.
Lets consider the other possibilties, no?
Perhaps your deck is flawed. A common theme in most casual players is that they either want to play a 6 card combo, or play by numbers and turn cards sideways.
Perhaps your opponent is better than you? There are some people I simply cannot beat. It takes practice, and hopefully you can get to his level of play.
Perhaps you are an awful player. I have seen these people. These people build decks, turn cards sideways, and spend a whole bunch of pumps on one attack to the face, so they can snicker and say "Haha, I dealt 20 damage! Yeah, my deck is sooo good!" only to be destroyed when they now have nothing to get over the opponent's larger characters.
These people who think Tempo is a type of dance move, barnacle, a curse word they hear on Sponge Bob, Mize being a person who is a penny pincher, and cry injustice at anyone who netdecks.
These people are why I wish we had the Pros. Where people who knew the game well could show us the good and the bad in the set.
