How in god's name do you know that they've got it right this time? I mean all we've got is some sketchy details about the OP and we don't actually know how it'll be run, or how well it'll be run.

Seems like a pretty big leap of faith to say that they got it right without seeing it in action.

I really don't mean to be a downer and I really like how the OP is shaping up but unlike a lot of you, I'm going to wait to see it before praising/criticizing UDE for the new program. Seems like there are just as many, if not more people blindly loving UDE on these forums than haters. Or maybe it just seems that way because aceswolf makes so god damn many posts about it...who knows?

Like I said, it's a huge step in the right direction, especially compared to what we've seen OP-wise since the last PC. Kudos to UDE for (hopefully) closely analyzing the situation, knowing that the game needs an OP to truly survive and finally letting us in on the secret.

Thank you for instilling hope into the future of VS. I am also pleased about create your own set. It took this long to announce these things, but they were well worth the announcement. I hope to see more positive things in the future.

I will not say thank you until we get the full details OFFICIALLY from UDE. The only information we have is from a solicitation for a new product that was leaked onto Realms. TBS did confirm it but he is only "allowed" to say just enough that we don't show up and protest on the doors of UDE.

Why UDE couldn't say exactly what was in the solicitation themselves instead of relying on someone else posting it worries me.

Edit: Guess I should read the whole thread, but I still stand by my statement that UDE should of had this up first before it was leaked. I just don't trust UDE as far as I can throw them right now ...

Before what was leaked? What are you talking about?

The press release was on the UDE website when this was FIRST posted on the Realms. Heck most of these "leaks" on the Realms have been people reposting press releases from the UDE website. Now, perhaps these press releases should be on VsSystem.com instead of getting posted to Realms ... but ultimately, press releases don't give out much 'real' information.

I'm just glad that they haven't killed off the game.

Now,I'm going to make some travel arrangements to GenCon because I'm sure I wand to go to the World Champs so that I can accurately praise/critisize UDE.
