Overload wasn't really the problem, and never should have been banned based on SNO alone. Now that we have more zero atttack guys that grow, it becomes too problematic to bring it back. it was the easy band-aid at the time... and allowed for more character creativity in the future, with just those very zero cost characters. So yes, in the long run it had to be removed, but it certainly wasn't the real problem in SNO.
Here is an idea......
Play Fair

Exhaust a defender you control. If any character in this attack has an attack score greater than double it's printed attack, remove those attackers from this attack.
This doesn't stun, just keeps things in check a bit. Sort of like System Failure, but it can remove multiple attackers in a team attack, but woudl require an exhaust so that defender is still not able to normally swing back.
with all the suggestions, the big issue is still not addressed. what about characters like Sunfire or that 6-drop Captain Marvel? they get stunned just because you play the card?
how about:
"stun target character is its ATK is more than twice its printed ATK because of an equipment or plot twist you do not control"
