Yes, but if Stardust does KO all your opponent's character's in a 1-on-1 match up, then Stardust gets the effect immediately not during your attack step. Furthermore, you would get to keep YOUR characters as Imperiex reads:

Imperiex costs you 1 less to recruit if you control no characters.
At the start of your attack step, KO all other characters.

Whereas Stardust's power would just affect your opponent.

When Stardust enters play, target opponent chooses a player friendly to him. The chosen player KO's all characters he controls.

OK I'm sober now and ready to make a few changes in my choices. First of all I won't vote for characters who won last year, it just wouldn't be fair. Can you imagine if that happened in The Oscars or other awards like that? Absolute chaos.

Here they are:

no cost- Its really silly voting for this since there is only one character out there LSoK so my vote reluctantly goes to him
0- Even though I was drunk Supe/Bat Robot is my choice, he just fills out your curve if you miss a drop and is a beast as a five drop, no stun loss, thank you very much
1- I stick with my choice of the Riddler, Batcomputer, Attilan, Poseidonis. HA! I laught at them all
2- Quicksilver - nobody wears the Fate Suit better than him and he has many 1st place finishes to prove it
3- Ahmed won last year so Draw a Card Barbie is the best choice by far.
4- My first choice would of been Dr. Doom DG, but since he won last year I will have to go with Elektra, a chick that can hit you in the face even if you have 50 guys on your field
5- Garth might have won it last year but Black Manta is the best choice right now, come on Garth was nice but Black Manta is in a team that actually does something with the KO pile.
6- Sentinel Mark VII- a free stun just because I have Magneto out there? Why thank you very much.
7- Silver Surfer Last Zenn-Lavian, getting to 9 sooner than expected is very very good in my books
8- Apocalypse, Age of Apocalypse attack with the 5 drop, remove counters and kill your opponent, humm not bad at all.
9- Galactus, as if taking your life in turn 9 and turn it to 0 isn't bad enough, Ill also add it to my own and then beat you down.

I wont vote for any other drops higher than 9 since I find it to be pointless, Imperiex herself doesn't even come into play in 10 she jumps ahead and comes into play on 9. So there you have it, my real picks no more changing them them around. On a side note I think MUN should be left for next year.

Can Stardust even work in a 1 on 1 match, I pretty sure you can not pick your self because you are supposed to pick a player friendly to you and YOU are not Friendly to your self.

These choices are so great I will second them (or third them since I haven't read the rest of the thread).

Your opponent has to pick an opponent friendly to him. There's no one there? Then he is friendly to himself, so his characters get the boot.

I mainly picking characters you can put in any deck. Sure Wonderman is cool, but only in Avengers. Doom 4 is great, but only with Reign and MP.

6: Holocaust None stand out here, 6 drops are very deck specific.
7: Two Face makes you win on 7 with iniative and fixes your mulligan!
8: Psycho pirate I love this guy!
9: Galactus, Devourer of Worlds, But Mxy is funnier!
10: Imperiex, The Beginning and The End because he's a 9 drop...
