Hee, thanks for the thought... but most wedding photographers around here are charging $1500-$2500 + tax, depending on their base package, so we'd need, say, $2000 to reimburse my wife the lost income, and an additional $2500 to hire a replacement photographer (assuming we can find one available on such short notice). That's assuming the client wasn't paying for additional coverage (such as the reception) or additional canvas prints, albums, etc.

Spud and I would gladly foot our own bill to Ohio if that could be arranged, but unless someone's got $4-5 grand sitting around with nothing to do, it just ain't gonna happen.

What I WOULD like to do, though, is co-opt someone with a digital camera to be Lost Hemisphere's officially unofficial eyes and ears at Worlds...
