I think the best drafters will make Top 8. Top 8 is always skewed because draft separates the great players from the good players. Erick is right, the best deck might make it to the Top 8 because of bad drafting (ie, 10-0 Day 1 with Avengers, 0-9 in draft).

QFT. specially since you only have to get 51%+ to get into day 2. Day 2 will be the determinant for top 8.
In any case, my money's on SHIELD. The deck is ridiculously versatile and flexible, and can win on either init. And it has awesome tech to take down even the biggest monsters in the format. (thats right, I'm looking at both of you, Superman, Hulk)
i say if some one builds a wolverine/hulk legends deck it will take worlds enough said
think about it u can give the hulk wolvies name or the other way around plus claws beserker rage, hulk smash i mean come on that will be sick

Already built it, and it is sick. only problem is that you blow your load on 4 and may lose to Illuminati if they get a semi-decent draw.
How did Hulk Control test out. Cards like Bloodsport, strongest one there is, the great arena, can even use imprial dreadnaught on 6 drop hulk who can may be invulnerable from Hiroim, and recover from Krog's effect, seem to have very strong control aspects it. I wouldn't be so shocked to see this deck do well day one.

Hulk control is very strong in the meta right now.
F4 has the tools to control the board to their advantage, and search for it to boot. (60% vs Warbound)
WF(my version anyways) is having trouble knowing what to BGYT.... and I've played both sides. Rightious Anger is a beating, and your Superman MM at the 5 drop is rather lackluster against this version of Warbound. (40% vs Warbound)
JLA, if you have the cards for it, is amazing against majority of decks right now... just not enough to stop the Hulk. (40% vs Warbound)
Disclaimer: These were all proxy decks. The percentage was out of 10(ten) games vs Warbound.
After seeing plenty of the Illuminati, I think they have a shot. Anything without decent resource hate seems to have a lot of trouble against it if built and played correctly (and with at least a decent draw).
Hulk is a powerhouse, but incredibly predictable - I can see a more "unique" Hulk build getting top 8, playing some unexpected tech to shift the balance in its favor.
Secret Avengers seems pretty insane with all of the rally tricks, but I haven't seen it hit its early game consistently enough to be viable. Of course, I said the same about QuickFate back in the day, and that didn't stop IT from being played (nor did it stop it from winning).
World's Finest/JLA builds have a lot going for them, and I think they'll really be the standby deck for those who can afford it and can't find anything else competitive. They have a LOT of tricks, but again, it can be predictable, depending on the build. Still tough to deal with if you're not sure the opponent has a BGYT/From the Darkness or not, though, and these mind games tend to mess with a lot of players.
MKKO is a beast, and I hate playing against it. :(
Is IG Concealed even a threat anymore in Modern? It really seems like they lost a lot more than they gained (Big Leagues, Hunte Castle, Flying Kick for Trouble With Dinosaurs), and EVERYONE knows the deck inside and out by now. Besides, MKKO is the superior concealed deck.
Overall, I'm going to take the bet for Illuminati to win it. We'll see how wrong I am in a few days.
Mark my words, friends, with 4 0 cost characters in the environ, and 2 plot twists that allow you to search for copies of people, and Clash in the hands of the people, NI blitz is going to be the dark horse that takes the cake... and other assorted goods.
Side note: If a cake isn't part of the prize package it needs to be added.
