Got a set of old phone earbuds or crummy PC speakers you can stick in there? Basically the dumbest, simplest stereo mic jack you can find. Give that a try and make sure it's not something where you need an adapter or some nonsense for the laptop to separate the mic input and audio output.

Are all your drivers updated? My wife's computer uninstalled her wifi card drivers because there was an update.

Yes. And I tried switching between two different audio drivers that came installed, and with either of them, the speakers or my old USB headset work, but nothing from the headphone/mic port.

That really sucks. Could definitely be something with the physical jack then. Sounds like you've tried just about everything.

Didn't seem like anyone minded when the updates stopped either.

It was nice to look back and see how many games I've won but once it got past a certain point, the numbers became meaningless and I don't think I was ever gonna pass Rokk.
