"And you, you were lucky to catch me with my guard down and hit me once," Sinestro said, dampening Quake's powers with a pair of oversize padded boxing gloves. "It will not happen again," he promised.

"They're resisiting, and pretty successfully," Clea pointed out.

"Then maybe they need to lose one of their own to dampen their spirits," the shadow behind her said. Clea gasped in surprise.

"Sorry about that. Name's Obsidian," the young hero explained. "Loki toys with darkness, let's see how he likes dealing with someone who's mastered it." With amazing speed, the shadow slipped across the courtyard and up the side of the building to envelop Loki.

"What magic is this?" Loki demanded.

"Magic that will sprirt you away to a darker place than you'd ever want to see."
