Good to hear that John Carter did not disappoint. I was afraid it was gonna get the Disney sappy treatment.
Based solely on how many Oscar nominations it received and based on how many awards it won, I went out on a limb and bought "Hugo." I watched it at home with the wife and kids. I really enjoyed it - good story, good acting, and visuals that were brilliant even if not in their original 3D.

I've found that I can re-watch Casino Royale (nu-Bond) every couple months or so, and it's enjoyable each time. Can't remember if it was my first blu-ray, but it's certainly among them and probably my favorite.

I watched Wanderlust. I heard tell that David Wain has an alternate cut of the movie that's much crazier than what I saw, and considering half the stuff in the red-band trailer wasn't in the movie, THAT is the Wanderlust to see. The theatrical version is pleasant enough, but I'd wait for The Wain Cut.
I caught Chronicle tonight. I enjoyed it. Ironically, it was the small visual effects that seemed the most out of place in terms of conspicuous CG. Flying and tossing cars around? Looks awesome. Baseball being thrown at someone's face, the ball looked very fake.
But it was an intense flick. I expected much more super heroey fair, and while there is super powered hijinxs aplenty, it's not action/adventure.

Basically Jennifer Aniston's Boyfriend complained about her nude scene so he had her make them take out her nude scene, which ended up taking out a lot of other things in the movie in the process...not sure why, but meh :-/. Sort of made the film undesirable to see after that happened.

Jennifer Aniston's boyfriend was IN the movie, wasn't he? Or am I behind on gossip? I thought he was the main hippie dude.
I heard about that, but I didn't know it wasn't her choice, but his insistence. Which seems lame.

Yes, the two met on the set. I didn't see the movie but from what I read they ended up just taking out all the main female character nudity from the film when Jennifer had hers taken out of it. Honestly I expect them to break up and her have them put it back in for DVD release time for the movie as a directors cut. She keeps doing it though honestly, filming nude scenes, uses it to hype up a movie she's in, then having it taken out for some reason or other...
