X-wing is pretty dead in my area. There are no organized events, and I haven't heard of anyone playing it in over a year. I don't expect rules 2.0 to change that.

I do like the idea of conversion kits though. I would not want to re-buy TIE fighters when I have perfectly usable models for them already. The cards and dials are the important part of the game anyway. I could potentially see myself picking up a conversion kit to use in home games.
