Personally I like starting at 400 like we do in HCFL, but FLE going 300, 400, 500 is also cool.

I would like to hop in on the reboot if there is room! I also like where we started in HCFL at 400 and think that is a good starting point. But I defer to the established group of FLE members.

With the play by post format, and the 21 day limit, I prefer the games not be 500. Either 300 or 400 are good.

400 pts I could get behind but I think 300 would make it too hard to upgrade the characters.

That's a little strong. With zapping the BFC, you're nullifying a random element (at least, they are as we use them in the fantasy leagues). If you zap a feat, that's something your opponent paid for.

It's also something they worked for. That's the difference between feats in this environment and in regular play. People complain about everybody getting Brilliant Tactician or Maneuver or Contingency Plan, but if someone has worked to get that Feat. They also chose that Feat instead of something else. I just don't see it as being nearly as big of an issue here as it is in other venues.

What would the core starting value be if we go with 300 games? It seemed as if the 400 point rosters had either a 200 or 250 point core so just curious where we will start at either of those values.

In the reboot for HCFL we had 500 point rosters and 400 point games with a core of 250.
