I just thought I'd bring this up because I am still a water duelist. I'm thinking of running crystal core just for some shenanigans. My deck runs well but, I'm not sure of what I can do for it right now.
I just started playing again about a month ago. So I still haven't seen how my deck fairs against Blackwings or Lightsworn.
True true. I don't have any synchros right now so I don't know how she'll help me yet. I'm trying to get my hands on 2 more warriors of atlantis and 3 blizzard dragons though. Right now I play around with Abyss, Mobius, Levia, Hyrdogeddon and some bugroth.
I'm messing around with cold enchanter to see how this works for the time being.
I'd suggest that you stay in the A Legendary Ocean world because they are going to get a nice boost when Absolute Powerforce is released in a month.

Codalos (ABPF)
Lv4/Water/Sea-Serpent/1400/1000
You can send a face-up "Umi" you control to the Graveyard to send up to 2 cards your opponent controls to the Graveyard.
Codalos' effect gets around Stardust Dragon and Starlight Road which is really nice. Add Pseudo Space and possibly Maiden of the Aqua or Forgotten Underwater Temple to the deck and you can virtually have 12 copies of Umi floating around in your deck. That's probably a bit much, but you can pick and choose between the best of those cards to see what fits your deck.
Will this make Water Decks Tier 1? Probably not, but it should give them a nice boost, a non tribute monster that can take advantage of Umi is very nice.
Interesting. My girlfriend plays a water deck. It's main basis is frogs though. But, just the sound of that card makes running a water deck sound even more interesting.
I think Forgotten Underwater Temple is something to look at and build around in a Legendary Ocean deck. It's great as a card that can be launched by Codalos and it can set up really easy Synchro Summons since it basically gives you a free monster every turn (for a turn).

Forgotten Underwater Temple
Continuous Trap
While this card is on the field, its name is treated as "Umi". Once per turn, you can select and remove from play 1 face-up Level 4 or lower Fish, Sea Serpent, or Aqua-Type monster you control. Special Summon the monster removed from play by this effect during the End Phase.
Now the real questions is what to use to remove your Water monsters from play. Bottomless Trap Hole is still seeing play everywhere so your opponent will eventually remove some of your monsters from play. I don't think I'd want to rely on that to get more use out of Forgotten Underwater Temple. Fenrir, Lekunga, and Aqua Spirit are options. I guess it would really depend on what direction you wanted to take the deck to see what would fit the best.
Not quite, seems more like a 1-turn protector for Level 4 or lower Fish, Sea Serpent, and Aqua-Types since, once per turn, you can choose to remove 1 of yours and it Special Summons itself back at the end of the turn (assuming Temple is still there). So it's more like we need things that either like to be removed from play and/or Special Summoned in general.

I read that completely wrong last night, I guess work really is getting to me this week.
I have a few other ideas considering the real effect of Forgotten Underwater Temple I just want to think them out a little more before I throw them up for discussion.
