yes, golden flying fish is too broken to be left alone. If that's that the case, it'll have no bearing on the samurai deck. As far as the shared card pool, our banlists will be the same. its World championship season after all. So where samurai are concerned you can probably go ahead and make the changes.
You are correct that allure of darkness may get a limitation here, but if it does, it doesn't affect samurai.

Yeah I know Samurai will probably not be effected at all by the ban list. It just seems every time I try and update to a ban list early I get burned, so I'm going to hold off for a few more days.
i just recently made some changes to my deck according to the "new list" and it is godly. i played with a few of my friends a good number of games and the majority went to me, he was truly devastated without the raizas. i pretty much played different variation of monarchs. i know i havent played other decks thats getting hype around here but i can say this much, i dont have to worry about raizas anymore

I've been messing with this deck since the Samurai were released. It changes everyday pretty much so keep up if you can.
There are a ton of little tricks this deck has.
just want to point out that you have 1 Kamon in the deck and 3 in the side deck

I haven't updated the side deck on this post in months because it changes so often. I only have two Kamons in the side deck, which really helps in the Macro Cosmos matchup.
So I want to start taking a look at the latest Six Samurai Deck to break into the Top 16:

The Phoenix Wing Wind Blast make me nervous initially, but maybe with two Six Samurai United in the deck they can function a lot better. I think I'd like this a lot more next format where you have Monster Reborn and Premature Burial to bring things out of your graveyard immediately.
The Wind Blasts are also played over Cunning of the Six Samurai, which aren't main decked at all, only side decked. Again I think this in an interesting choice since Cunning can let you hit for a ton of damage and end the game quickly, something that is definitely needed in the coming format.
The only other thing that really differs from the builds I've been playing greatly is triple Great Shogun Shien, something that seems really overkill to me. A hand of 3 Shien, 1 Enishi, 1 Grandmaster and one of almost any of your Spell and Traps, except Reasoning or Reinforcements, is going to really hurt in the opening rounds.
I need to digest this more, I'm not all that impressed right now, but I'm thrilled that a Samurai deck made it this far.

Johnathan Moore's Build is good. It is even better in next format though. Being able to monster reborn is amazing, and PWWB aren't all that bad in here. I've tested it, and even though you have the posibility of getting those hands, PWWB is there to save the day. Seems like Grandmaster has just got a little more exspensive.
Also. I think that when he started playing Reasoning people started to think imediatly that he was playing MagicalOTK, and not alot of people were ready for Sic Samurais. Element of suprise never hurts... ^_^
A stolen Shien is going to be painful, that's why I'm wondering if Hero's Rule 2 is worth testing out in the new format. I'm probably going to try out a pair of them, I'm going to have to re-evaluate my build, I think there are a few improvements I can make.
Not sure If I like not having Cunning in the main deck. It's not just great for extra damage, it's also important for protection. The guy seems to know what he is doing, though.
Yeah Moore has been one of the people putting Six Samurai on the map from the beginning. He seems to have a really good handle on how the deck runs, when to push and be aggressive, and have a little bit of luck on the way.
I have taken Card Trooper out of my build to see how it runs, I'm not sure if I want to go back to three copies of Reasoning, I'll have to think about that some more.
i asked jon moore about his build and his logic behind the choices he made. overall its really mostly about how well he knows how to play the sammies, although his choices may seem unorthodox, they are thought through very thoroughly. he told me it was really hard for him to cut out cunnings but we have to make sacrifices sometimes
