Don Dixon is one of the most underappreciated songwriter/producer/performers if the '80s and '90s. "Romeo at Julliard" and "Most of the Girls Like to Dance to but Only Some of the Boys Do" are two of my favorite albums of all time.
You are welcome by the way, if you've not heard Don Dixon, or only know him from Praying Mantis (which is a great song of course, and how most folks heard of him).
Hello From Venus from the Screamin' Cheetah Wheelies. I'd heard other tunes from the band first, and then heard this song and was like holy crap, it was a change of pace and why is this not better known?
Oh, YIKES. I'm glad we agree that United was bad. I never even knew that existed before today. I punched it up and at the 5 minute mark I was ready to quit. At 10 I gave up. Theme song, character design, voice acting, and general story were all grating.
I was going to shift over to Avengers EMH as a pallet cleaner since I consider it a second place to the DCAU. That's actually high praise coming from me. But I saw Fantastic Four World's Greatest Heroes and went with that instead. I may be alone in this, but I really liked that show. I didn't like the character design, but really enjoyed everything else, much like Transformers Prime.
Another great series that seems to have flown under the radar was/is Legion of Superheroes.
I concur. Avengers EMH is one of the best cartoon series ever made. It was cut down in the prime of its life.
Fire Away - Chris Stapleton
I first heard this dude because of Tennessee Whiskey. Amazing voice. He just gets so much emotion through it. However, I wish the version linked to didn't have the people talking in the background. It was very distracting. I'll probably search this out later to re-listen.
Freedom of Choice - DEVO
I like the general DEVO sound, but this song was just ok to listen to.
Fox in Sox - Wes Tank
That is one of the whitest appropriations I've ever seen. His faces were priceless.
Godlike - KMFDM
I love this. I'm going to listen to it again right now.
Give the People What They Want - The O'Jays
Niiiiiiiiiiiice funk. Niiiiiiiiiiice groove.
Getting High - Orange Goblin
Another OG winner. I like this.
When they first dropped Unfu<k the World, I played it for my boss and he said "you had me at the sirens". As someone who operates machines for a living, it involves a lot of rage. Love it!
