For me, CODA is currently leading as my pick for Oscar best picture. I've only seen about half of them, though. I also think that No Way Home should have been both nominated and won.

That is the most normal microtonal guitar I have ever seen. Most of them look like a 3 year old was given a fret board puzzle and they just put it together however they wanted it.

I saw Nightmare Alley last night. I thought it was a good movie, but not a great movie. Not sure how it got a best pic nomination.

While benched with Covid, I watched the original and newest Nightmare Alley flicks.

I dug them both. I think the new one wraps up the narrative better.

After I watch a movie, I usually go read that movie's trivia on IMDB. That's where I found out that Nightmare Alley was a remake. I was thinking of watching the original. Is it black and white?

I used to go on IMDB after watching something, but now I get stuck on TV Tropes reading everything about it. Not always bad, but some of those shows have some extensive entries and it takes forever to learn everything.

Hey, a couple of us had waffles for breakfast on International Waffle day, without even knowing it. Cool!

Yeah, we have a waffle maker we got last winter. We love it. Fun way to have the kids "help" make the meal, and if we do breakfast for supper, we hit a jackpot because everyone will eat waffles and sausage or bacon. It's more difficult than I expected to get food agreement and compliance with a picky wife and 2 little kids.
