Did waivers for League 2 not process this morning?

Looks like I'll lose for the first time since last year with my defending team in the Cole Trickle league.
What a great weekend for football; but the Cardinals should NOT have won. When you hit the kicker hard enough to break his foot?
I'm wondering where the freakin' flag was on that one. The Cowboys should of been moved up 15 yards with a fresh set of downs after that destruction.
Are you talking about the blocked punt?
Also Arizona got screwed multiple times in that game... the first of which was when Romo fumbled early and the play was blown dead. Completely inexcusable call by the officials.
Romo's got a borken pinky finger. Makes me hellaglad I didn't give up Rivers.

Yeah, the blocked punt play. I guess if you block the ball, its free game to destroy a kicker's leg.
Don't get the ball and scrape him in passing?
Out comes the yellow hanky.
Blow up his knee/ankle/foot yet you have possession of the ball?
It's no big thing.
Personally, I think the ref was afraid of a near-riot in the end zone had he thrown a flag.
I'm not quite sure what the problem is. I'm fairly certain that if you block the kick then there can be no roughing the kicker. It's pretty tough to block a kick and not make any kind of contact with the kicker. I don't think the ref was afraid of anything so much as there was no call to be made. Honestly it seems to me that roughing the kicker is probably called more than it should be, not less. I didn't really see any malicious intent... the defender just got through really quickly and really cleanly. Blocked kicks can be very painful for the person blocking them too.
Yeah, I thought Roughing was only called if you hit the kicker and don't make any contact whatsoever with the ball (ie: you hit the kicker after the ball is away, or are making the play on the kicker himself and not the ball).

That was also how I understood it. My friend was wondering about the lack or a roughing call as well, and I told him I thought it was because he actually got to the football.
Roughing usually gets called when the punt is away, and someone is "I don't have any balance no more, oops!" and stumbles into the kicker, without touching the ball. I'm actually pretty sure you can't touch him, period, in that situation.
As for the injury....well, that's just another reason you block. Kickers and punters get messed up big time if they get hit. I'm sure if someone did a hit/injury ratio on kickers/punters, you'd get something well over 50%.
Frankly, I'd be more worried about the other guy's rocks.......I don't care how good that cup is, I would NOT enjoy that.

Point of note: Both Rodgers and Anderson would have gotten me 26 points, regardless of who I put in.
Romo got me 32. And broke his pinkie finger and is out for a month.
Rivers would've gotten me 30, but I don't think he's anywhere near as reliable as Romo was -- despite being a higher ranked QB -- mostly because I despise the Chargers.
On the bright side, that deal that had me trading him for Hasselbeck and Westbrook didn't go through ...

To me, though; it seems an inconsistant call. If you can't go for a kickers legs, you can't go for them period.
That being said, you then can never really try for a block.
Besides, its the Cowboys. If that would of been Robbie Gould, I'd be calling for someone's head!
Go for the legs? That doesn't have anything to do with it. It's whether the ball is there or not. If the ball is still there, the kicker is fair game. If the ball is gone, you can't even blow him a kiss without getting a flag. You can take him down any way you want, but the ball better be there when you do.

My team was brutal last week. Been getting by, but only by the skin of my teeth. Gonna be hard to make the playoffs here with only 3 real contributors.
On paper my Wide-outs, Moss and Marshall, look fantastic...but, they are both struggling as of late. Besides Portis, my backs are shaky at best. Time to start playing the ol' "Plug and Play" routine.
