the format: 6 boosters of Streets of Gotham, sealed. we will be competing for a multitude of clix goodness, including team packs, Batgirl, and other plastic things with dials!
I am going to have to start checking more of these other venues out! The one I usually play at is going stale with 001 Supes every week from the same player! Snooooorrrreeeeffffeeesssttt
Are any of these groups of players actually trying different teams? What are the players like? Hyper Competitive, casual, comic accurate?
I personally play a more comic accurate style myself.

Hello Diesel,
I play at Alibi Games on Sundays, I'll tell you a little about it:
We've had some weeks where it's three or four players, lately we've been getting five or six. The No Man's Land OP have pulled higher than that, and month 2 was bigger than month 1.
Prize support is good. The guy who runs our events usually knows what people need from the OP kits and will award prizes based on that. When the OP kits start running dry we'll usually each cherry-pick one item we want. Also, no entry fee. :D
Our format varies weekly, but so far everyone builds to have fun. We usually stay around 300-500 points and every now and then we'll do something like "Themed Teams", "4-player games" "Single Figure Game" or other, different formats to change things up.
We do a lot of Modern Age and Golden Age. Most of the players have collections that are heavily within the last two years, but we all have our favorite Golden pieces we like to play every now and then.
Nobody abuses the Gauntlet, no one has abused the Belt yet. But we just got Batarangs, so we'll see
It's a good store, the group of people is focused on fun and community rather than competitive play. No entry fee helps, and since we have such a small number of players pretty much everyone gets a prize.
I hope we'll see you up there! We play Sundays starting at 2:30.
I only played 1 game at Alibi, but folks were pretty nice towards an out-of-towner that showed up for NML1. The start time is hard for me to make the trip from AA/Ypsi given my Sunday obligations, but its very natural for the store.
300 points Golden age. All figures must be 100 points or LESS.

NO MAN'S LAND MONTH 2!
"The format for the Month Two Event is a 300 point, Sealed event utilizing eight (8) Streets of Gotham single figure boosters, or, if supply is low, one $11.99 Batman Booster and one other $11.99 booster of your choice.
Prior to the event, players will “declare their allegiance” to one of the six No Man’s Land “Gangs (GCPD, Batman, Joker, Two--‐Face, Killer Croc, or Black Mask). They are now fighting for turf on behalf of their chosen gang. Upon completion of the event, the Gang with the most Event Points (see next page) has now conquered Wayne Manor for their Gang. “Tag” the corresponding location on the included laminated Gotham City map with the appropriate Gang Token (also provided).
This event will be taking place at all three of our stores on this date. Entry fee will be the cost of the eight or two boosters to play (around $25) Everyone who plays will receive a batarang 3d object. First and second place as well as a fellowship winner will receive Batgirl LE Figures"

I played at Comic City West Bloomfield for my first heroclix tournament ever, it was a really good time. Sealed format so I can't tell you what people normally play, but all the guys were great. Took the time to explain things I did wrong, let me re-call moves that I did wrong, and were cool enough to just talk to during the match. Random banter, genuine interest in new players that showed up. I will be back for month 2 through 6 for sure. Super cool venue with all sorts of comics and figures/collectables. Really personable and knowledgable judge too.
