Pretty much everything works. It's very tongue in cheek at times, the comedy is spot on, the story is a solid backing for everything, everyone plays their part well. It's basically a really solid buddy cop/high school movie. Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum had surprisingly great chemistry together.

Saw 21 Jump Street and Casa De Mi Padre. I enjoyed them both.

I don't know if some of you gringos will enjoy Casa De Mi Padre, but I liked it. If you didn't grow up with telenovelas, then you won't get the comedy at all.

21 Jump Street was funny and a lot better than I thought it would be.

Watched the extended edition of Fellowship of the Ring and The Two Towers yesterday when I was making a St. Patty's day meal.

Hopefully will get to Return of the King today.

It's not a fancy way of saying it, it's the actual Spanish word for it. Sigh...gringos.

Watched Sweet Karma last night, was actually pretty good and had a nice surprise twist to it in the end.

the chicks in those Mexican soap operas are smokin' hot.

The newest Quatermass Expieriment is well executed to be something that was broadcast live...

I also watched Pi, I found the acting amateurish in places and had a touch "Eraserheadish" BS, but pretty gripping overall.

John Carter on Thursday night, and then Fight club on Friday night.

John Carter was very good, and I love Fight Club. Both well worth the (re) watches.

John Carter was the last film I watched, and it was quite good. Despite being Disney it did have a lot of thematic calls to the books (Woola looks almost perfect, and the green men are spot on for example).

Of all movies, watched 'Dirty Dancing' tonight. Probably the first time in over 20 years that I've seen it, and I was pleasantly surprised at how good it was. It was my Daughters turn to pick a movie, and she wanted to watch it (she's 10). My Son (11) was a trooper and though he's loathe to admit it, I know he enjoyed the movie as well.
