Correct on both counts, though slightly more jazzed for Game of Thrones since I just finished the fifth book in the series and I only have to wait two weeks more. Also jazzed for Hunger Games and I hope they make a PG-13 release for theaters and an R or NC-17 rated cut for DVD. There is no way they can do all the stuff in that book without one of those ratings. I hope the studio doesn't wuss out like the people who made Angels & Demons did.

I'm actually starting the first book in the series.

Read the three prequels. Very good short stories. Gives you some insight into the history of the main story.
I got an update on my dad last night. The blood they took immediately upon his admittance contained alcohol. So tell me how you manage to drink when you've been bringing up blood for 4 days. Also, since he has a tube down his nose to keep an eye on the bleeding in his stomach so he can't eat...or take his pain or withdraw pills orally. You catch my drift? I'd say it's safe to assume that doctor got back at him for his comments. HA!
My wife changed her mind and told me we were going to Olive Garden. 30 seconds before we got there. Such a tease!
Dude, that is wrong on so many levels. I might have just jumped out of the car as you drove by the Hooters. Then again, I would probably never go through this situation as my wife can't stand the concept of Hooters and objects to the restaurant on general principle.

I have read the game of thrones series and love it. A friend recommended hunger games to me last year but I have such a long list of things to read I dont know when I will make it that far.
How was everyones weekend? Mine was awsome! I have sang karaoke befor but never in front of strangers, or in a bar. But friday night I went out and had a blast! Then saturday I was in the St. Paddy's day parade. I didnt know I was going to do that untill late friday night. It made for a long morning, a long walk, and blisters on my feet, but it was fun. Then saturday night was the best. I went with a friend to an addition for a band. Oh my word that was amazing! The energy in the studio was addictive. The lead guitarist was incredible, so much talent! The guys and there wives were so fun to hang out with, laughing and teasing. I want to go back to hang out whether is my friend gets in our not!
Stan i'm sorry for everything yoy are haveing to go through right now. I think you are doing an amazing job keeping your head up as yoy go through all this.

I had a pretty good weekend. My wife was off visiting her family and taking care of her father's belongings, so me and the boy had the weekend to ourselves.

I am on Book 3 and am hooked, big time. The only thing I don't like is that there are supposed to be 7 total novels in the series and only 5 have been published so far. I'm gonna hate waiting between books after I have finished what is out there thus far. I must say, though, I have not been this addicted to a series in quite a while - and I tend to be very picky when it comes to genre stuff like fantasy. I would give the Song of Ice and Fire series (Game of Thrones) four out of four stars - highly recommended.
