Yes, it was Rima The Jungle Girl, from South America. The book was "Green Mansions: A Romance of the Tropical Forest", published in 1904 written by W. H. Hudson.
She was also mentioned in "The League OF Extraordinary Gentlemen" volume 2, tho not seen. She also looked different in the actual book then in her DC comic appearances and her cartoon appearances.
The thread is yours, CuCr of the jungle. And, watch out for that tree.
Let's keep going with the Super Friends questions!
On The All-New Superfriends Hour, the first incarnation of the show with the Wonder Twins, two villains appeared who were based on comic book villains. Name the two comic book villains, and give the names by which these villains were known on the show.

Siegfried and Roy, using the alias' "Sigmund" and "Freud".
Am I the only one who hasn't seen these cartoon since they originally aired?
You are not.
I have no idea, so I will guess Blockbuster and Wizard.

You're gonna make me go dig the DVD's out (with my kids watching of course) to get this answer...

You guys are both wrong. But I'm gonna need a total of four names: the two names the villains used on the show, and the two comic-book villains who inspired them.
