It has been really fun to do so much building and practicing. The scene around here has been getting steadily more competitive (and thus, all of us getting to be better players) for a while, but this year has really reached critical mass of people focused on GenCon.

One of our crew made 3rd at nationals. I'm happy to say my GenCon team beat his Nationals team and a couple variations on it.

Finally got around to watching this -- I'd seen the raw/original video a little while ago, but not this reworking. Everyone here loved it; thanks for passing it along!

Glad you were able to make it! Yeah, I haven't compared, but we do appear to be burning through this at a rapid pace.

Practice makes perfect. As long as you can adjust for things you didn't anticipate I'm sure whatever you're team is will do well. I have a feeling we will hear about you in the finals. If I could make one suggestion you should play as some of the teams you think you'll expect at worlds. That will give you a good idea what to expect and maybe what weaknesses to exploit. It's what Sun Tzu would do. (I think)

Monday is going to be a bit crazy I think...Work, I am going to be allowed to leave early so I can get home to try to preorder stuff from Mattel for SDCC so I can just pick it up there, then meeting a friend for breakfast to celebrate getting the DUI off their license.

I've been spending my last few days off with my girlfriend and away from the computer. I figured it's the least I can do for her since I'll be spending all day Tuesday & Wednesday opening and sorting 100+ cases of the new Cap set!!!

I'm trying not to get my hopes up about having my cases by the end of the week, but it's not helping. I can already feel the resolve slipping, and me heading down to a shop Wednesday afternoon, telling myself I'll just buy a couple boosters to take the edge off, then hear myself asking about a brick...
