FIFTEEN raids to advance past the second stage of the special research? I'll be spending the better part of the summer trying to pick off enough one- and two-stars to clear that.

I got a weather boosted Reshiram today, so I guess I have just 14 left to do. I will probably hatch 15 eggs before I hit 15 raids even with several gyms nearby.

They did not make this second part easy, that's for sure. I don't get out enough to get a steady flow of pokecoins because I am running out of incubators and enjoy the ability to mass-hatch my 10km eggs.

I had a stupid idea about eggs. What if after a field research event you could earn a 20km egg. That egg would have a set list of pokemon that could hatch from it with an increased chance for shinies. WOuld you do it?

Would I like even cooler stuff? Yes please.

Re: PVP - I think I was the one talking about IV's and how bad IV's (specifically the attack stat) is generally preferred in PVP. Long story short, the CP calculation weighs each stat differently and Att effects it heavily. So lower Att, means higher lvl before you reach a certain CP cap, which means just slightly more hp. Though I've found having the right match ups and movesets far outweighs anything else. My 98% shiny venusaur still kicks much behind, but its because of the grass/poison typing/moves (and it does really NEED Franzy Plant). Also, the flip side, from what I understand is that when two Players tap on their charged moves at the same time, the tie breaker is the att stat (random if tied) so while 0/15/15 might be 'best' IV, you also forfeit charge-move priority.

While I'm on the subject, those new Galarians are supposed to be really good. There's a post on reddit (PVP Analysis on Throwback Challenge Galarians [the poster links another post regarding team building that's a really solid read also]) where someone breaks them down. Only Darumaka falls short, but he apparently is redeemed some in the raiding meta.

Which is a great lead in to why I'm actually back posting right now. Let me preface by saying I know its tough for everyone now and your particular situation might be tougher than others, so, of course, please prioritize your safety first. I'll be trying to open gifts to get the eggs with the Galaraian Pokemon daily and would appreciate, if its safe and possible for you, if you guys could remember to send me gifts daily.

So we can hatch the Galarian from 7km eggs?

Used a Remote Pass to connect to a Reshiram raid, got kicked out when it started. So now I have spent a pass to no use. Hope some other group wants to take it, but I have my doubts, it's usually just one group per egg organized around here.

AFAIK:
Galarian Stunfisk is spawning in the wild.
Galarian Meowth and Stunfisk are given as rewards for certain Throwback champion research tasks.
Galarian Stunfisk, Meowth, Zigzagoon and Darumaka are hatching from the 7k eggs (along with their non-Galarian forms). There are other Pokemon in the spawn pool also, though.

@Quebster: I'd try to contact Niantic to let them know what happened. Worse case, you've lost a pass and they say sorry and do nothing else. Best case you get the pass put back into your inventory. I've done this with errors raiding with free daily passes in the past and sometimes I'll get an apology and a premium pass. Nothing to lose except a little time right?

That's exactly my reaction when Niantic runs an event with special 7k's. But I've spent the last couple of days trying to hatch all of the 2,5 and 10 k eggs that are taking up space in my inventory already.

7 km eggs means it will be a while before you get to 15 hatches. The half distance helps though. And I still doubt I will have done 15 raids before I get 15 hatches anyway.

In-game announcement says that starting next week 7 km eggs will only have Alolan and Galarian variants. Guess I can wait until then to stock up on eggs.

But then you'll miss out on the ABSOLUTE JOY of hatching (in quick succession) a Meowth and two Zigzagoons out of a 7km egg!

I am working on hatching egg#8 and have completed 0 raids, where are you in this grind?

10 eggs, 11 raids. Missed getting yesterday's daily raid pass, fortunately I have plenty of premium passes.
