Yes, she is the glue on several different team combos.
I like....
Okoye, Gladiathor, and Chavez (some others can work in Chavez's slot, too)
Okoye, immortal hulk, and anyone (which is great for pvp)
At the moment BRB (1/1/1) is my ticket at making progression in SCL10. He batteries the blue for Polaris to stun while Polaris does her thing. He is my transition 5* and working much better than Kitty would. I understand the importance of Okoye (2/2/1) and the role she plays in the game however she doesn't work for me quite yet. She is definitely the next one to get after the BRB covers. I need about 650 (1150 ideally) more shards for BRB before I get him where I would want him.

I really appreciated the guidance on this combo. I flew up to 1000 in the Cyclop5 PVP using this team. My best PVP standing in a long long time. It's definitely a health pack sink, but that's ok since there's only one character that needs to be healed (Okoye, the required character can just be the borrowed one, though I always end my run with the full-health one for defense purposes)

It takes some getting used to. I like it, but when it does go down it goes down hard, at least that is what happens to me.
I do like that it is good on offense and still serves as a decent scarecrow, too.
So I am curious if anyone has done any tracking to find out any more information on bonus shards.
They put in the thing a while back that gave progressively better odds of getting bonus shards, with an eventual guarantee.
Meaning....
I open a heroic and get 4* bonus shards.
My next pull has, say, a 1% chance of getting shards.
If I don’t get it, then my next pull’s odds are maybe 1.5%.
And so on, eventually after so many pulls without bonus shards they just make it a 100% chance.
Things that I have wondered...
- Is the counter for a general bonus, or does each * level have its own counter? Like...I have had 15 pulls since my last 3* bonus, 25 since my last 4*, and 35 since a 5*....or....I have had 15 pulls since getting a bonus, which was a3*.
- Is the counter based overall or specific to the store? Like...I have gone 25 heroic pulls without a bonus, but I am up to 35 pulls without a bonus in mighty tokens.
I just got another Polaris cover via shards. It was not too long ago that I had my last one, but I cannot for the life of me recall getting any bonus while building this one. That felt unusual.
Oh, not that it helps much, but on 1/29 I posted about being on the cusp of a shard cover for Polaris to get her to 355.
Today is 2/17 and this one put her on 359.
I think I got a rando cover for her in some heroic pack or something.
In any case....rough numbers....
Say it has taken 10 days to get 400 shards for her. (Not sure....just guessing)
That is 200 from the daily milestones and 200 from elsewhere.
I know I did a couple of pulls to get my YJ, so that is 30, leaving 170. Heroics and mighties get 3 shards a pop, so that means around 57 pulls, or 5-6 heroics and mighties per day.
Seems reasonable, I guess, but basically, yeah, I just think it has been forever since I have gotten 4* bonuses. I have gotten quite a few 3* in that time.
It makes me wonder if that counter is just a general one and not separate for each level.
That would be useful to know. If I have had a dry spell on bonuses, then it might be worth cracking a few classics because that 100% would be on the horizon, so it would be better to have that on a 4 or 5* than a 3*.
So I am curious if anyone has done any tracking to find out any more information on bonus shards.
No I have not. I can say this, they seem random yet frequent enough that it seems pretty decent.
Today I had the open 4 tokens achievement to make and I noticed I had 51 mighty tokens. I opened the fast 50 and got 100 shards each for my 3 and 4. I only needed another 3 shards to fill up my 4* so I opened a Heroic and I got 50 bonus shards for my 3*.
I feel like that bonus shards are awarded per token type as opposed to an overall odds. Personally I would appreciate the overall odds but I would imagine that would be a bugger to program.

I wrote a little something up for my alliance this morning, figured I'd share it here:
CARNAGE
Carnage makes matches
Red (5 AP) – deals damage and swaps a bunch of tiles
Black (Passive) – at the start of his turn, make a bunch of matches (number of matches based on the amount of Black AP he has)
Green (5 AP) – This power may deal damage to the target, or damage to the team, or destroys a bunch of tiles (with damage and generating AP)
Strategy: You will want to make all the black matches you can, so you should consider characters for your team that can utilize black well.
DOCTOR OCTOPUS
Doctor Octopus does not make matches.
Green (passive) – When he first appears, Doc Ock makes a 20-turn colorless countdown (Reactor) tile. If this tile hits 0, the game is over. While this tile is on the board, Doc Ock does not take damage.
Blue (passive) – When he first appears, Doc Ock makes 4 Tentacle tiles. Each tile is a Repeater with a different effect. When all 4 Tentacle tiles are gone (matched/destroyed), the colorless Reactor tile becomes green (it is still counting down, but now it can be matched/destroyed).
Black (Passive) – If the Reactor tile is matched/destroyed, Doc Ock is stunned for a number of turn. When he becomes not-stunned, he puts out 4 more Tentacle tiles and a new Nuclear Reactor tile.
Strategy: The Nuclear Reactor can be changed from colorless to green (and removes the tentacles) by having its row or column destroyed. So consider characters that give you the ability to destroy a row/column (Gwenpool, Cyclops, Okoye, etc.)
GREEN GOBLIN
Green Goblin makes matches.
Black (passive) – If Green Goblin has teammates, create 2 Henchmen. Henchmen are automatically KO’d if Green Goblin is KO’d.
Purple (10 AP) – Creates countdown tiles of a specific color, each color does something different (I believe these map to the existing Green Goblin’s power)
Yellow (5 AP) – Decreases some number of countdown tiles by 1.
Yellow (passive) – At the start of the turn, fortify a countdown tile
Strategy: Generated henchmen will block Green Goblin by default. But you can just cycle him to the front.
SANDMAN
Sandman makes matches
Green (passive) – Damage dealt to Sandman is reduced. If you make a yellow match-5 it hits Sandman with extra damage.
Purple (passive) – When he has less than 20 Yellow AP, changes 5 tiles to yellow
Yellow (18 AP) – Deals big damage to the whole team
Strategy: You will get a lot of extra yellows and want him to not have yellow, so look for characters for your team that can make good use of yellow and high damage output to get around his reducer.
VENOM
Venom does not make matches on his turn.
Purple (passive) If there are less than 5 Invisibility tiles on the board, Venom makes one for himself.
Green (passive) If there are 5 Invisibility tiles on the board, he removes them all, deals damage, and creates 2 countdown tiles. He won’t create Invisibility tiles until the countdown tiles are gone and each turn the countdown tiles are on the board, they make Web tiles.
Black (passive) If there are 11 or more Web tiles on the board, he’ll all of them and KO the target.
Strategy: If you get a turn against Venom before he goes Invisible, you might be able to take him out. Otherwise, use his Invisible turns as a way to build up AP. You can also extend his time Invisible by matching/destroying the Invisibility tiles he generates.
VULTURE
Black (7 AP) – Puts out a 3 turn countdown which, if it goes off, sends him airborne for 2 turns (so gather up what AP you want/can with 2 free turns) but when he lands, he does damage to a random character.
Green (8 AP) – Destroys tiles and damages target
Blue (13 AP) – Damages target. Does more damage if the Black countdown tile is on the board.
Strategy: Deny black, just like you would against a regular Vulture.

Thanks for the write up! I do want to point out that Juggernaut's passive matching attack power can get through Venom's invisibility. So with a Polaris/Grocket/4*Juggy team as long as you are able to destroy an invisibility tile before they can go off and supplement with matches from Juggy you can KO Venom while always keeping him invisible.
I would like to test this team further to see if enough special tiles can spam the board so that Venom cannot make invisibility tiles and he is stuck in limbo just so he could take damage from Juggy.

Someone in my alliance did this and can confirm ... if there's no place to put his tile, he's stuck in invisibility mode
That last post made me decide to go and check on the running pull count.
It has been 12 days since the last check-in
Current pulls: 256 (+40)
LLs: 106 (+15) *** Note, just used two
CP: 3774 (+634)
That is a rate 3 1/3 pulls per day.
Since 12/14/20...
LLs: 23->106=+83
CP: 1056->3774+2718
Pulls: 65->256+191
Over 56 days, that is 3.41 pulls per day.
I am liking my outlook for the March 8th spree.
As I said above, the numbers would say I need 224 pulls, and I am already sitting above that.
That was on 2/8, so 11 days this time.
Current pulls: 290 (+34)
LLs: 118 (+12)
CP: 4324 (+550)
That is a rate just over 3 pulls per day.
Since 12/14/20...
LLs: 23->118 = +95
CP: 1056->4324 = +3,268
Pulls: 65->290 = +225
Over 67 days, that is 3.36 pulls per day.
A little drop since the last check in.
On the plus side, I should easily hit that 300 pull point shortly. With any luck, I may have some extra to gamble on the Cyke store.

Yup it worked! Even though it is not the fastest 3* Hulk/BRB/Polaris are used for the bosses. Hulk's green breaks the various enemy special tiles when needed and makes BRB a nice battery.

To reiterate I made 13 pulls and got 5*s on both the 1st and 13th pull and both were Jean Grey. On reddit there were a number of people who were not pleased with the draw rate of a 5* or the ability to get a P5Cyclops.
Granted reddit and I are just a small portion of people in the grand scheme of things.
I am a bit turned off from spending CP on special LL stores. I think I would rather save the CP for a special store that has 2 toons that I want or scratching the CL itch.
Also it might be time to champ my 4*s, just not all of them. This conclusion comes from the fact that when I get a 4* it is usually turned into a saved cover. I want to figure things out this weekend but any toons that have 10 covers saved and are a feeder are probably top on my list for toons to champ. Everyone else would be champed once they either A) become a feeder and have 10 covers --or-- B)are a required character....

If I champ a 4* like Jean Grey who has 30 covers saved now and then they decide to make her a feeder into P5Cyclops, Do I get the Cyclops cover and shards as a retroactive reward?
