Here's a clue -
At one point during this multi-issue story, Alan Scott says "I am not too keen on giving up my ring. But am I just being selfish? What if he can single-handedly defeat Hitler? Cure Polio? Feed all the starving people? It's arrogant to think my ring is more important than all that."

Doiby Dickles. Spear Of Destiny. Taxi Cab. Adolph Hitler.

I can't believe no one remembers this - to me it was one of the JSA's greatest ADVENTURES!!!

Well, nothing stranger then riding to the scene of a crime in a 40's era taxi cab that's been decked out so it can fly in outer space.

Besides, you can almost see it. Doiby goes wacky and wants to turn the entire world into Brooklyn. He needs power to do that. And with the GL ring and the Spear Of Destiny, he might have a chance at doing just that. But then Hitler manages to snag the Spear before Doiby does. So, Hitler saves the world, by accident, from becoming Brooklyn.

Then Hitler goes on to become the truly evil person we all know about from the history books, except that book writen by David Dukes, maybe.

And Doiby goes to another planet in his space cab and takes over, turning the entire kingdom into Brooklyn.

I SHOULD know this...the hint helps...it's gonna take me a bit for the "little grey cells" to get going...

"Strange Adventures" indeed.

Ooo... that'd make a great title for a comic book.
