Hunger Games

Any time a 2 and a half hour movie makes you wish it was longer you know they did something right.

I loved the film, but there are some parys that were tough to watch. Cutting through nerves for example.

I just watchef Hunger Games and I highly recommend it, though I woul advise reading the book first to get the most out of it.

Watched Drive on blu this weekend, and wrapped things up last night with Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory.

Still enjoy Drive, but actually want it paced slower... somehow.

Always enjoy the real Wonka.

Watched Poolboy 2 over the weekend via Netflix Instant. It was okay I guess. Wouldn't suggest it to someone to go watch but not disappointed that I watched it. Tried to watch a movie called Blubberella, which honestly just couldn't get past 20 minutes watching it :-/.

21 Jumpstreet was funny If you like juvenile, profane humor...and who doesn't?

Finally saw The Muppets.

It was weird. Funny at times. Weird at many other times.

Just saw GameChange about the McCain/Palin candidacy. Thought it was pretty spot on even with the Hollywood embelishments.

I could see Palin also getting more egotistical as the campaign went on. Also, she's a nutjob. HA!

Hard to believe that was Julianne Moore at points. Their makeup department did a wonderful job of creating the character.


Also.... Tremors. Just a fun movie with a little bit of giant worms eating people. Can watch that again and again.

Last movie I was a documentary on Don Rickles. It was hilarious.

Rewatched Abbott and Costello meet Frankenstein and Abbott and Costello meet the Mummy along with My Name is Bruce and Haunted Honeymoon.

God I love Haunted Honeymoon.

For someone who mostly acts, Gene Wilder has some impressive talents as a writer and director. I also like to think that working with his wife Gilda also provided such wonderful chemistry and energy.

It is unfortunate Gilda Radner died so young.

Watched The Road last night. Dark, moody, & sad but a pretty good movie.

Saw Wanderlust last night. I laughed a lot, but I always enjoy the decidedly awkward style of humor this group puts into things.

The mirror scene... man.

I would not list this as a comedy for everyone, but it was definitely for me.

Last night was Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy.

I enjoyed the slow pace and the overall way it was all done. It kept to a tone and mood and maintained it through all the characters and reveals.

Also interesting to see Gary Oldman get to play British... I imagine it was a nice break from his stream of American roles.

I got to see a rough cut of The Avengers. Ugh... I hope a re-edit makes it worth watching. I'd hate to see Mavel movies vanish because of this stinker. The story is terrible. Like Batman and Robin stupid. Arnim Zola looks stupid. Just sucktacular.
