The event for Thursday 12/15

"Joker's Wild Sealed... Sort of"
-Half Sealed, Half Constructed
-Everyone builds/brings a 200pt constructed team and drafts a 200pt team from one Joker's Wild Booster to make a 400pt team all together.
-For your constructed team, No resources or IDs, but Relics are allowed.

-If your Constructed team features any Joker's Wild figures, please make me aware before you draft, so that I know you're not cheating with what you pull... (unless you happen to pull a figure from your draft that is already on your constructed team)

My apologizes though. I accidentally made 4 copies of the event, because I was inpatient with the loading. So sign up for any or all of them haha

- None of your characters can have the same name or real name.
- For each character on your team you may include up to 2 characters on your sideline with the same name or real name.
- Whenever one of your characters die you may replace them with a character on your sideline of an equal or less point value and the same name or real name.
- You may have the same exact character on your force including your sideline as in same set and set #.

I might be able to make it Thursday, it depends if I have a car as mine has a recall on it

The event for 12/22 is as follows
"I'm Dreaming of a WHIIIIIIIITTTTTEEEE Christmas"
-600 points constructed
-All characters must be Unique (have a silver ring around the dial) or a Sketch Variant
-You will be allowed to play only 2 versions of the same Unique character (For example, 2 Toy Soldiers)
-Only Entity Equips and ID's will be allowed. No Resources or Relics

-Please Note: Don't assume that this will be the only event will have to use multiple Unique figures. There will be more events like this in the future

The eventf or 12/29 is as followed
"2016: The Heroclix Game"
-Build a 2016pt Constructed team
-Your team can only include figures/relics/special objects/entities and more, from 2016 only (So from World's Finest up to Joker's Wild)
-You will only be allotted 6 actions per turn (cause 20 actions would take too long)
-Also, only 4 of your characters can use Leadership per turn (play all the figures that have Leadership you want, but only 4 can use it per turn)

You'll make a 500pt team based on a non-keyword theme of my choosing. Example, if I pick "Video Game", you'll build a team based around your favorite video game (or a Video Game of your choosing)
These kind of events will be made monthly because there's many themes to choose from.
I think for this event, it will be Movies but again. Nothing is finalized

300pt Inauguration Battle Royale Draft
We'll do a Pick-and-Pass style draft, with a Snake Draft at the end, and play a King of the Hill style Battle Royale with a scenario based around the next-day Inauguration
For the sake of the event, you have to pretend that you're against Trump

I haven't thought of one for 1/26 yet, but you'll know when I think of it.

I made two new events but, don't be confused... I might have made the Presidential Race event first, but that doesn't happen until the 19th. I set it up for that date on purpose cause of the Inauguration on the 20th... The Night At the Box Office event happens next week on the 12th.

A shame I'm missing two of the more fun events due to work. I had a star wars theme for last night ready and now I don't get to face trump either lol

You didn't miss much. It was just me and Peter playing one match. It was Aladdin VS Kingsman: The Secret Service.
But don't worry about. I can't promise making another Presidential/Politic related event, but I'm gonna make the movie theme event happen again in a few months

So, I signed up for the event this week (1/19) and noticed it was a sealed event. Thing is, unless the store got in product since last Friday (1/13), since the shelves were empty when I came in, I don't know how we will play a sealed event.

Did you look around the store? I took notice to that too when I was there last week (1/12) But, as I walked around the store a little, I found some Joker's Wild boosters. They're in the middle aisle on the bottom shelf closest to the cash register. There were at least 9 of them or more last week, but I'm not sure how many have/will be purchased in the next few days.

I only looked and saw FF sets. I did not look in the specific area you stated, so perhaps there is JW product. Which brings up a different question. Why write up the event this way "You purchase one booster from whatever set you want, pick one figure you want from the booster, and pass it to the next player. All the figures you picked will be your team for the event", when the store only has JW boosters (if at all)?

I play here often enough to know the venue doesn't carry a lot of current product, let alone older stuff, so why state "purchase one booster from whatever set you want"? It seems misleading. I know, you know, as do the other "regulars" about the inventory at the venue. However, if there is only JW product why not just run a JW sealed? That way if a new new player shows up they know it's only JW product for the event.

What if there is no product? What then? I don't drag my whole collection with me.
