Then we should go for SL because the write-ups make it abundantly clear he's in league with Gilgamesh (Kayneth is the head of the clock tower - it's the school in London where he teaches and where Waver was a student).
I don't believe you're claim at all but saying if we want to accomplish something then you can work with us on SL. Let the legit Grail War factions do their thing while you get your alt-win....
RE: Snooze - I haven't ever gone to Union Station because living in Creek, Colorado just is the "local". The Lonetree one was faster and not as chaotic but not sure the food was as good but I wonder if that isn't a perception bias (Snooze overall is never as great as I hope; I keep giving it tries when others want and expect knock-out food because of the popularity. It's not bad - it's good - just for some reason I keep expecting it to be better the next time).
Always get the pancake flight. Always. One of them: the cinnamon roll.
The just man and the clocktower professor met again at the Citizen's Building.
"If you'll hold still, I'll make this quick and painless," the professor says.
The liquid metal chases the just man. At double speed, then triple, the just man avoids the metal thing and opens fire on the professor with his calico machine gun. The metal thing stretches itself thin to block the bullets.
"The origin rounds can only tear magic circuits that are in use," the just man thinks. "I'll have to get Kayneth to put his guard up."
The just man throws a grenade at the clocktower professor. The liquid metal forms a four layer wall around the professor. The just man pulls out his pistol and fires an origin round. The room is engulfed in flames but the metal holds strong….until the origin round strikes it. The bullet cuts right through and tears a hole in the clocktower professor’s chest.
The professor is knocked off his feet by the force of the bullet. Liquid metal flows across the ground. He tries to control it but it won’t respond.
“My magic…no!”
“I’m sorry about this, Kayneth,” the just man says, reloading his gun. “But you’re an easier target than your servant.”
“My servant? I don’t have a servant!”
The just man raises his weapon.
“Wait!” the clocktower professor coughs, clutching his chest wound. “Lancer was my servant and Berserker, too. Saber, Rider, Archer…they’re not mine. I’m innocent, I swear!”
The just man pulls the trigger.
He walks outside, sits down and lights a cigarette. This is the point where he would normally call Maiya to give her new information and orders but Maiya is dead. He thinks about how once upon a time, he could have ran away with Irisviel but she’s dead now, too. Once again, the just man is leaving a trail of corpses in his wake but this is his only path. This is the only way to save his daughter, to save the entire world.
Seven masters. Five down. One to go.
He takes a drag on his cigarette. “Damn.”
Make that eight masters. Two to go.
Silver Lantern is dead. He was Kayneth Archibald, arrogant yet powerful professor and El-Melloi of the clocktower mage’s association. (Neutral)
The large servant's sword cuts a hole in the fence and he and the student sneak through.
"I can't believe we're doing this."
"Like the King of Heroes said, the motorcycle wasn't enough. We need a better vehicle to do battle on. Ah, there it is."
They both look at the F-16 fighter jet on the tarmac in front of them.
"Are you serious?"
"Oh yes. Wait until Goldy gets a look at this."
The golden armored servant and the armored woman stand together on the bridge, drinking wine from golden cups.
"It is a shame, King of Heroes, that we cannot both win this war."
"Indeed, King of Knights." The golden armored man takes a sip of wine. "One thought does occur to me. The holy grail belongs to me. I could never allow a thief to take it. Furthermore, I have had but one companion and have never seen reason to find another. However," he takes another drink, "I find your company to be excellent. It you were to marry me, the holy grail would belong to you as well and I would have no problem letting you claim it."
The armored woman considers this. "I don't think I can accept your kind offer, Archer. I am the King of Knights and I remember how you treated the noble knight, Lancer."
The golden armored servant smiles. "That Lancer was nothing but a mongrel, a traitorous dog who met the end he deserved."
The woman frowns. "And what of Maiya? And Irisviel? They were my friends and you had a hand in both of their deaths."
"Why do you concern yourself with the lives of mere mortals? I thought you had learned your lesson, learned that all your honor and sacrifice only brought you pain and suffering."
The armored woman closes her eyes and turns away. She looks back to the other servant and hands him the wine glass. "I thank you for your kindness, King of Heroes. Yet, I still wish to save my country and help those that could not help themselves. That is my dream."
"It must be exhausting having such a dream, Saber. How restless your sleep must be. Are you ready to awaken?"
"Only if I must."
The two servants walk towards opposite ends of the bridge.
Once more, the armored woman calls on the spirits of the dying, charging her blade with their brilliant holy light.
The golden armored servant calls from his portal the greatest weapon in his arsenal, Ea. The weapon cannot be called a sword or a spear as its form predates the concept of those weapons. It is a half lance with a blunt drill instead of a point. The drill begins to turn, warping reality around it in a red wave.
The armored woman holds her blade aloft. It burns the sky with its brilliance.
"Excalibur!" She swings her blade, sending yellow light towards the other servant.
"Enuma Elish!" He thrusts his weapon, sending the red wave at his enemy.
The blasts collide with a blinding fury. When the light clears, the golden armored servant remains. The woman is no more.
"Welcome back to reality, King of Knights."
In a hidden room at Tohsaka manor, the white haired woman's body lies where the serious man left it. The holy grail floats above. Black liquid fills the grail to the brim, threatening to overflow.
Skullbrother47 is dead. He was Arturia Pendragon aka Saber, armored woman and honorable king. (Town)
With roughly 5 players remaining, majority should be 3. You have ~36 hours. The thread will close at noon central on Saturday.
So, gfish, can you tell us which of the names are courtesy of you so people stop freaking about them?
(And only reason I mentioned Snooze is I could have sworn you were big into the place. Kind-of dumb we never catch up for a bite...)
Sure.
I added:
- CarlosMucha
- Rokk_Krinn (but I guess you joined of your own volition?)
- Johanna Mason
- Grinner
- Destructoboy (not on the player list, though, not sure what happened)
- Immortal Raven last night to see if I could make it look like he was back in the game, but that didn't work.
