Does anyone have a clue as to how much butt kicking ability the elemental BA are going to have? I am looking forward to the StormHammers in this set. The Uziel is insane for them, mine came today, my friend sent it to me. I hope all of the lacking factions get the much needed boost in this set.
Seems that 3 of the 4 Sylths have 6 clicks, with salvage on the last click (not sure about the SH Sylth).
JF: 2 damage pulse (0/6 range) w/ 8 attack, 16 defense. Holds the 2 damage with pulse for 2 clicks (starting and one more) then drops to 1 damage pulse, then simply 1 damage.
DF has 1 damage, I'm not all that impressed, 16 defense w/evade (evade for the entire dial)
According to the fluff, the Clan Battle Armour is actually beefed up Elemental Battle Armour. OK they removed the modularity of the hands but exchanged that for improved jump capability.
What that means is expect EBA to look like CBA with maybe slight changes to their weaponry and damage ability. Speed-wise they should be slower (more like Cavalier Battle Armour).
That said, One-Eyed Jack in his 53 kph Jupiter outruns both released 85kph Vultures so don't bet on it!! ;)

Elemental Battle armor, a.k.a. Toads (named so because of their squat, wide appearance), was not omni capable. It's weapon loadout consisted of a small laser in place of the hand in the left arm. The right arm had a manipulator, with a machine gun slung under the arm. They had a backpack that contained jumpjets and a single-shot SRM-2 pack. Unfortunately, they had unlimited rounds in MW3, so they would just keep shooting! So annoying...
Elemental armor could also mount a flamer or heavy antimech machine gun. BMR states that you had a choice of a machine gun, small laser, or a flamer for your antimech weapon. I'm assuming the light machine gun mounted on the right arm stayed.
But how many times did elementals use a heavy machine gun or flamer instead of the small laser for their primary antimech weapon?
I never read any stats about how often different configurations were used. The config I posted earlier was the first configuration that Elementals used when fighting Inner Sphere forces, and that was the weapons loadout the IS expected to face from that point onward. One would think IS forces would mention their suprise at seeing a different configuration soon after seeing "the original." This leads me to believe that the other configs weren't seen that often.
well, considering how much more BV and elemental point was worth if it used the laser instead of the Mgun or flamer. Mgun is basically anti-infantry only, and the flamer is made much better use of on the salamander.
about the LMgun, it probably has no affect on gameplay, so wasnt mentioned in the BMR (probably like the SMG mounted on the achileus' wrist).
so, yes, basic load out in-game is small laser and 2 shot SRM2.
For CBT, the light machine gun had no effect. For the MW RPG, it did. Also for CBT, there is not really any difference much difference between a small laser, heavy machine gun, or flamer. Same ragnes and just about the same damage. The only real difference is a heavy mech grade flamer (which was in the gnome description but not the elemental description so I'll assume its a vehicular grade flamer) is that it could cause a mech heat instead.
