Saturday March 6th is the epic tournament for the Mighty Throg. Tournament starts at noon. That one month to constuct your four team. It will be 4 rounds and break to top four. Feel free to ask me if you have any questions about the format.
Thank god!
I don't think my teams are going to come in the mail for he next couple weeks, I was worried t would have been next Saturday.
Ok so I updated the first page with battlezone and the next toruneys I knew the formats for. And changed the webpages to be the stores websites because the old wk links just sent you to WKs new home page.
When (day and time) do you the guys at battlezone meet? When is the 4 team tourney gonna be and when/what is the next tourney at Battlezone?
and sorry for not paying attention, but who is running events at battlezone?
thanks for any help, I hate not updating the front page, but you all know how things go....
Players Standings Updated...Are You On The First Page
Good games at LSoM tonight. MVP for me was Batman Beyond. Gimped two Captain America's, Starter Thing, & Thor/Loki!
Somewhat suprised at what was fielded. Three of six players ran Cap. I was the only one to run Beta Ray Bill. Only one Thor. Several Inside Information's played as expected.
Mechanic of the Night goes to Juan. Gypsy / Karolina Dean combo utilizing the Phone Booth. Push to 19 Defend with Gypsy and Karolina's White Power where every figure has ESD. That's skank nasty. Something you might see at the Chase tourney.
Speaking of the Chase tourney, got some playtest games in on Tuesday against Dustin and Austin. Let Your C@ck Hang Out Superman is benched from the starting rotation. The team got outflanked and too easy to lose the supporting cast, putting the team down on points and forcing Superman to hustle and chase the opponent. He just can't KO enough in a timed game. Now have to go through and see which bubble team gets promoted to the starting rotation.

Fun Times
Just looked up Gypsy and Karolina Dean, and yeah, that is some shyte. 21 defense at range isn't really anything to sneeze at.
I just revamped 2 of the teams. I took out what would have been 'Worlds Worstest' with Bizarro and Yellow Lantern and another click or 2; and replaced it with completely different team. Rearranged another team around and I think I'm happy with the teams I have.
With that in mind, I'm going to be leaping out of my skin to get back in the game when I get my clix in the mail.
Now, when you say 'Let Your C@ck Hang Out' Superman. I am assuming you are referring to E2 supes?
I don't want to play a game of chess where dumb luck or money decides whether or not I get to use a rook... Collectibility is a necessary evil of Heroclix, not a boon.
Announced the next (02/24/10) tourney to those present Wednesday. I was waiting till I got an e-mail back from John before I had it posted here. Got said e-mail today.
LSOM 2/24/10 Tourney: SEIGE EVENT! All matches will be on the Rainbow bridge map
400 pts. unrestricted. Must build from Faction A or B.
FACTION A - must be the following keywords: Asgardians, Deity or Warrior (Marvel ONLY!)
FACTION B- must be Thunderbolts (keywords) and/or have Avengers, Minions of Doom, Sinister Syndicate or SHIELD TA's. Note: SHIELD must be Generic or LE Generic. Example: SHIELD Agent (IC) or Gabriell Jones (LE) would be legal.
You could build from faction A and B if you wanted. However, if you do that team will have the effects of the Disbanded Battlefield Condition applied to them. That being said, it IS possible to intentionally (or unintentionally) build within both. Example: Hercules (SI) has the Deity and Warrior keywords (Faction A) AND the Avengers TA (Faction B). He is completely legal to be on EITHER Faction.
Prize: Thor, the Reigning (LE)!!!!!!!
I set up this Scenario to be Marvel's last horrah due to the fact that everyone will be clamoring for DC stuff with BatB coming out soon. So lets do this!
For those of you who thought HeroClix was a simple game, think again. It is just as complicated with infinite interactions as any CCG out there. It is a collectable game made by gamers after all.
If you think that's messy, find the thread Dustin started about TBolts, Defenders, and Wildcards. That sh*t will blow your mind.
The point is, about 95% of these rulings are covered in the Player's Guides. They are 75+ pages, but sometimes a necessary read. With a Chase tournament on the horizon it would do everyone good to brush up a bit. Including the judges (both current and retired).
One of the lessons of Team Vegas; knowing the rules gives you an advantage over your opponents.
Even if you are just a casual player, having a decent handle on the rules is benificial. It's always fun if you are playing the game correctly.
