You know, I should have thought of Coyote right off. It was written by Steve Englehart, who was at DC a few years before that, so it could have been an idea he had for Hawkman that got rejected.
When our story opens, the Question is investigating an impossible locked-room murder mystery involving a midget and a 6'6"-tall call girl into heavy bondage. Don't worry, I'll explain later. It's all vitally relevant.

Oh, the one with the alien who was reincarnated as human and was called Mick Jagger.
I think it was tittled "Void Indigo". Not sure it was published as a comic book, but I know it was a graphic novel at one point.

I'm not familiar with Void Indigo, but if the plot is as you describe I bet that's it. I remember reading somewhere, sometime, long ago, about a discarded plan to merge the origins of the Golden and Silver Age Hawkmen, and have him be an Egyptian prince whose soul was reincarnated in the body of a man on another planet.
It was CuCr that reminded me of it. And how it was canceled because of excessive violence after the GN and two issues were released of what was to be a 4-part mini-series. He mentioned "Steve", but it was Gerber and not Englehart.
Anyhow, just for reminding me, I'll pass the thread on to CuCr if he wants it.
Thanks, guy, but I don't have a really good DC question prepared; so if you do, take it away.
Alrighty then.
BTW, in the Wonder Woman cartoon, there is a flash of a nude scene.
That has nothing to do with this question, except that the question is derived from the same flick.
The most obvious choice would be Vulcan, so I'll say that.
Nope, not him.

Oh, wait, you were answering the question. That's the right answer. I would've accepted "Pluto" as well, since you meant the god and not the 9th planet in our solar sytem.

The scene is quick and happens shortly after Steve lands on teh island, before he's captured. He sees the naked amazons in the waterfall. It's a second or so long and you get to see bare amazonian buttock. Well-drawn ones at that. I can't remember what he says, but it's somethign like "I must be dreaming" or some such.
The person who designed the Rocket Red suits was killed by a person who was romantically linked to a person who had an alternate ID shared by another person who was killed by whom, and why?
