It's my magnificent obsession. It seems everywhere I look it's being lauded as the greatest thing to happen to comics since the four-color printing process and I feel like I'm the only one saying that the Emperor has no clothes.
Generally, I agree with you. There are parts about these guys I do like, though.
I love the redesign of Sinestro and his forming of the Sinestro Corps. Sinestro had probably the stupidest, most color-blind design of all the major DC villains. His costume redesign actually cast him visually as Hal Jordan's opposite. Him forming an antithesis Corps of lanterns also worked well in that same regard. The entirety of the Green Lantern Corps now have opposites that are as diverse and fascinating as they are.
If left at that, I would be very happy, but in the world of Geoff Johns there's no idea worth doing that isn't worth overdoing. The rest of them are pretty dumb at their core level. Despite that, there are a couple of them I like: Saint Walker, Warth, and Dex-Star. I'm not really sure those three, even though I like them, are worth having to put up with the rest of the nonsense.
So yeah, for the most part I am right there with you CustomCreator.
...now, if we can just get Professor Pyg confirmed.
As far as the skittle Lanterns. I liked the Yellow Lanterns, Larfleeze is mildly intrigueing, hate the Red Lanterns (puking blood seems pretty stupid), I'm basically indifferent to most of the others. Star Sapphire doing everything she used to do in the name of love seems downright silly.
I want these clixed: Doc Savage, Fu Manchu, Tarzan, The Shadow, The Green Hornet & Kato, Conan, Solomon Kane, The Phantom, King Kong, Universal Monsters, Black Orchid, Manhunter (Paul Kirk), Xemnu the Titan, unclixed Kirby Fourth World characters, and Lilith, Daughter Of Dracula.

Agreed. I think we need more Star Sapphires (I'm hoping for one in the 75th Anniversary set), MORE Sinestro Corps (because I think that was the best thing to happen to the DCU in MANY years), Dex-Star and Atrocitus (and maybe one or two "good" lanterns with Red Lantern versions). And of course we need lots more of the Green Lantern Corps made/remade. I don't care for the rest of the rainbow lanterns, but I desperately want more Sinestro Corps and GL members, and the Star Sapphire who was actually in the SSoSV (Debbie Darnell). :P
CarlosMucha: that is like be running in a Olimpic race competition just one step to get the gold and then a Giant children place a mirror in your side and you discover what you are really a hamster over a whell and the gold is just a slice of chess. Avatar Summoning: Original GotG, Melter, Whiplash
Curious on Warth do you just like his design as a Big Elephant guy or have they given him a story yet as I had not seen anything on him??
And as to Warlord never read the stuff but would be great
Some of the classics I would love in this set
Warlord
Tala
Congo Bill/Congorilla
Solvar LE with a Gorilla Generic
Haunted Tank
Infectious Lass
Captain Comet
and Detective Chimp

NO SANTA LEFT BEHIND
Not Just Another Empty Political Slogan
I like the Sinestro Corps (and especially the reason Sinestro brought them into being-- Johns making him 3 dimensional for the first time in his career)
I am indifferent to casting Star Sapphire into a Corps and what goes with that. But really, the problem here is the recon decades ago of the Zamorans in the first place. Given that, this change is reasonable.
I really like the Blue Lanterns, though, it's an awesome concept. And Larfleeze is nifty in a 80s-DC-Space-Comics way.
Oh, and I didn't much care for Blackest Night, though unlike most event comics, it got better as it went instead of worse. it stated off terrible, and a the end it was OK.
Considering the White Lantern Green Arrow could easily be repainted into a Grell era Arrow, it wouldn't surprise me if that was a hint.
Or it could be Warlord. I dunno.
I HOPE it's a hint that we'll be getting Warlord AND some classic LOSH characters in Grell-era costumes!

Yeah, that's one of my greatest hopes too. Right up there with world peace, and an American sitcom that's actually funny and lasts more than one season. (Still pissed off about Better Off Ted.)
What about Better Off Ted? WHAT ABOUT BETTER OFF TED?

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
*weeps manly tears*
*well, tears at any rate*
Well, so much for the one American sitcom I actually laughed at. We are getting another season of The IT Crowd, right? Now I'm afraid to check.

Please, please, please let that be a hint. I will personally buy an extra brick if this is confirmed. Even if it's common!

What is it with Larfleeze? I don't get the fascination people seem to have with him. He just doesn't seem that interesting to me.
As for the rest of the Skittle Lanterns, I admit I thought the concept of having a "corp for each color" was kinda silly (especially given that the number of colors in the spectrum is a cultural convention, not a universal aspect), but I really enjoyed Johns' treatment of them, and I'm intrigued by where they'll go in the future.
