There's a pot of chili cooking in the kitchen. It smells delicious in this house.

Yummy, I am making chili tomorrow, I wish I was making it now after seeing your post...

This is a basic sweet chili. It's a new recipe, but we're experimenting with it. It's got about 2 hours left and it's killing the both of us.

That balances the smell afterwards.

Mmmmm chili. Yum. We should do an LPC recipe swap or something. I made a big pot last week and had 2 folks say it was the best they'd ever had. Started with a beef broth and the spices, garlic, lime, and onion cooking for a good 2 hours before any tomatoes, beans, beef, or bacon ever hit the pot. Glorious I say. My cooking IQ is north of 160 the rest is somewhere south of everyone's except Haven't13.

I'd be up for a swap. If this one comes out decent, I'll definitely share this recipe. It can be changed to add some kick, but I'm not a person who can handle much heat, so I have to tone down most recipes.

I usually make Lazy Chili, meaning mostly from canned beans and tomatos and a starter of some kind.

I've never really made my own chili other then what we did in Boy Scouts over a fire. Though someone brought a mystery mix of spices for it though I do know brown sugar was used... Honestly think the only thing I took from Boy Scouts was how to cook :-/

I wish I had been a Boy Scout, I cannot tie a knot worth a darn.

So, I finally caught Prometheus tonight. Perfect night to watch it. Dark and stormy, my wife is gone at work, its all quiet, etc.

Where was the awesomely creepy warning-type sound that was used on every preview!!??! Its the coolest movie sound, maybe ever, and I didn't notice it once. W.T.F.!!


btw- thanks emeraldKnight4 for the Venom trade! I'm slowly getting those LEs after all. Just need Superman and Superman and the Giantman/Ant-Man ones now!
