Man, us Lions fans (all 237 of us) sure enjoyed that guy's first year or two. I'm glad he tried football after his comics run kinda tailed off. Maybe he'll get back to comics since his stint with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers didn't go so great. Or maybe even movies again!

Or a made for Netflix series!
Catering to the lowest common denominator since Feb 2003.
actually, now that I think about it Mr. Peanut doesn't actually wear a tuxedo. He just wears a top hat, and he's naked everywhere else... Except for the monocle. That's just actually pretty weird.
At least he'll be able to see his todger when brewer's droop kicks in!
you know that Green Arrow has been a batman rip-off since inception, yeah?
Which is fine. I would even play that up as a running gag if I were writing GA comics. Why it bothers me on the show is that it's unintentionally obvious. Also, they should move the show to noon so it can run with all the other daytime Soaps.
My comment had less to do with GA as a comic book character being a Batman "ripoff" and more to do with my disdain specifically for what used to be a terrific show and is now very, very far from that.
I spent the majority of my night at work arguing with crazy people on Facebook and reading about the influence of "The Masque of the Red Death" by Edgar Allen Poe. I probably should have just skipped the first activity to focus entirely on the second.

Yep. They didn't show a short film before the feature this time, which I think they did every other time I've gone. And I'm pretty sure it was a different organist this year from the previous time they showed Phantom. I noticed a few differences in the music.
The girlfriend had never seen it before, and she really liked it. We're probably going to go to the John Williams music concert there in May.
(The movie was also what prompted me to do research on Masque of the Red Death. I'm strongly considering going as Lon Chaney as the Phantom as the Red Death for Halloween next year.)
