This was the most fun I have had so far in mafia. Being masoned to a vet player like Kenny has really helped me better myself as a player, able to see how he thinks. He is a really cool guy. I see myself remaining friends with him in the future.
Thanks for running this IR. The theme was sweet and I just wish I didn't kill myself. It was still sweet watching the game progress even after my death.
This was a really fun game, IR, and I love the details in the roles! I especially love the secret IR tracking result for Poe.
I feel kinda bad that I botched the role, but this is my first SK shot here. I was fairly sure I didn't want to claim Poe, as I figured he'd be easy to spot in a writeup, and I hoped to be able to get some mileage out of that ghost write, but the time never seemed right. And claiming the author of my favorite character was a close second to my favorite author, and anybody who's seen me post on Facebook or the ogre threads should be aware of my obsession with the Phantom of the Opera.
And with that, I just had to wait out other power claims. I spent the entire morning the other day at work re-reading the thread over and over again, trying to determine what my best bet was to claim. I had it narrowed down to Vig or JK, and tossed the coing wrong there. I couldn't figure out an explanation for all the death N3 that didn't implicate me, and went with the seemingly safer claim that burned me. I spent even more time trying to spin it, especially after Adam said he caught me targetting Rokk.
My most plausible story was that I never caught the PM saying that KrisL was indeed lynched, as he was actually my original target. I figured that "randomized with prejudice" was a start of an explanation, but not for both failing and still being tracked.
I also considered claiming a special "locked room mystery" JK, which allowed the targets actions to succeed, and stopped everything but a kill attempt. So a sort of doc/reverse RB/guide power, but with a reverse RB claimed, I didn't want to risk it, and it seemed too red-handed a claim to me. In light of another town JK, it might've made a bit of a difference, but I doubt it. Should've gone Vig and blamed the GFF kill on the mafia!
So I tried. But I think I did well except for picking the wrong fake power claim. I still had fun though!

I would like to know what happened night one so that we had the mess of results that almost ended with me lynched.
I made some bad calls this game, and I realize that with my thoughts on Silver and Aranatta. However, I wasn't 100% sold on you which is why I jailkept Silver the night before.
I honestly thought we had 4 mafia and an SK. That's why I was convinced Silver was the SK and Rorschach was mafia. I was a mega-broken clock this game.
Kenny, don't apologize just trust me a little more next time.
I will RARELY attack my mafia mates in game. Plus I wouldn't claim neutral survivor with the cop dead if I was an SK, think about it.
I think I contributed a good deal to the curbstomp so perhaps my role was a little OP. I coulda gone either way, but after I got into it with Kenny on the first day two, I felt I had to play overly pro town. I got really lucky on the Aran lynch to figure out who were the scummers on it. We knew the 2 dead townies on it were town, I knew Kenny was town. I knew I wasn't scum, and I had "pseudo copped" RP as "not mafia," so that left KrisL and Mal. Partly bad luck because of the low #s in the game and partly bad luck that I sided against them. See Aran, you did not die for nothing. Your death and lynch train helped identify the 2 scummers. I know that may not be a big consolation but at least your team won. Same with Rokk's death, it helped the town in the end since he was RTed. Grats to my fellow winners. Very fun game IR!
Grinner, I don't want to hear any more about how you always die as the BDer...

Who the eff daykilled me back to back days? Seriously.
You have no idea how getting caught for it bummed me.
My library includes a copy of Dark Carnival that Bradbury autographed multiple times as a "running story" of meetings. It may be one of my most prized possessions. I actually got something I wrote about his passing into his memorial service. Saying Bradbury is someone I idolize might be a bit on the understatement.
Heck, poor IR had to deal with me submitting my actions as pastiches.

It's a very different atmosphere, for sure. Everyone has their own style of playing to begin with, so I'm used to that. But yeah, having mystery roles and ever-changing votes is a really cool type of game that I'll definitely try again.
And you guys were all really awesome at sussing out the baddies!
