Do you still have cable? If so, what are you paying for it? And do you feel it's worth what you're paying?
If you don't have cable, what hardware/streaming services do you use to get the content you want, and do you like the hardware/streaming services?
Comcast. $250 a month for internet and pretty much everything plus premium channels ('cept porn) with 1 DVR receiver and two other digital receivers. I live with the Dad and he's got some hang-up on me paying bills for the house so when I took over cable, I went for the big channel package (prolly wouldn't do this if I lived on my own). Some months I feel it is worth it more than others (then I remember the free rent). I also have Netflix streaming for the Marvel TV shows.
Catering to the lowest common denominator since Feb 2003.

Wow, that's more than double what I'm paying. If you can afford it, more power to you, but I'd be so broke, paying that for net+cable. How often do you and Dad use the premium channels?
I've heard a lot of cord-cutters mention that paying for services that give them access to HBO/Starz/etc. can knock their bills almost into cable territory, but I've gone my whole life without those kinds of channels, and given my lack of interest in most of their content, I'm ok with that. All the more money saved if I do cut the cord.

I didn't join the Netflix train until earlier this year, and I have to say, content-wise, Netflix is incredible. Every episodic TV show I watch is on there. If not for a couple of small snags in non-episodic content, Netflix alone would make the decision to cut the cord a no-brainer.
Some things in life are just not meant to be.
Apparently one of those things is me owning an intact U.S.S. Sutherland.
I broke the one that came with the Fleet Captains game while trying to put it back in the box (I was trying to put it in the wrong slot.)
I figured that since the HeroClix ships are the exact same aside from the dial, I'd just get one of those and swap the dial. I acquired one from Harpua, and when I was going to make the swap, I got it out, walked down the hall, and dropped it, breaking it into 3 pieces.
I was placing an order from coolstuffinc the other day and was a few bucks away from getting free shipping, so I figured I'd add a Sutherland onto the order and try one more time. My package arrived the other day, and the Sutherland was poorly packed, and underneath heavier items, so it unsurprisingly arrived broken.
I emailed CSI about it, but at this point I'm pretty much resigned to not having an intact ship.
So CSI said they didn't have any more of the piece in stock, but they could send me a partial refund. I feel like a full refund would have been justified for them sending me something that was snapped in half due to their ####ty job packing it, but I figured a partial refund would be at least half of what I paid, right?
Today I got my notification on PayPal that I received a refund...of 66 cents. For something that I paid $6 for.
That is so half-assed I think I would have been less pissed off if they didn't even bother.
I realize I'm only out slightly more than 5 bucks, but the 66 cent refund just feels like a "#### you, we're paying the bare minimum that we absolutely can and still say we gave you any refund."

That sucks. That's not even a full 11%.
