Is Stranger gave a fake claim of a character that was already dead, that would be pretty devilish... although given that there are multiple Hawks out there... actually might not be bad. A fake claim, but not an entirely safe one.

I've seen green used for OOG talk I think... at least that's what I'm using it for.

No way Lamplighter is a safe claim. He appears in the write-up as being saved. Suppose it could be a ghost write, but that'd be one heck of a gamble.

I get why Grizz might be suspicious to some, but he's not rubbing me the wrong way yet. Agree on the IR bumps, so he'd be a suspect for me. Followed maybe by Tony. Slightly scummy read from Dboy. And there's always the missing parties like Afr.

Well, knowing Afterthought there would have to be plenty of booze, smokes, and general debauchery, and it should generally be a good time. So I'd say a sort Aftoberfest, a celebration of the return of the once dead (but never an afterthought) King. The booze flows freely, beggars and bankers drink and dance as one, there are games of chance and skill (gambling encouraged), and of course "the great toast" where everyone is encouraged to toast (or roast) the King himself (all in good fun of course).

Event

The festival had an assortment of things that you would find across the galaxy. There were Ewoks serving drinks, the comedy duo of Bert and Ernie were doing a sketch on stage, Roy and Marth were leading a sword-fighting tournament, and there was even a giant roast beast that could be enjoyed by any and all who wished. All was happy and all was well in town.

I like his claim, and I think it is completely plausible he mded JOH due to yesterday's actions. That isn't clearing him, I think it's just as likely that he's telling the truth as he isn't.

I'm not sure if this was on purpose or not.

But I like where this game is going.

Yay, playing devil's advocate is getting me on the hot seat.

First, both JoH and gfish left their statements very nebulous if I may borrow Fred's wording. Here's the sequence:
-JoH votes gfish, some vagueness about tentacle monster.
-gfish responds with an MD claim.
-JoH then claims to have copped
-gfish claims character, but not specific iteration of said character.
-A whole big discussion of provided fakeclaims vs potential OMACs vs legitimate claims ensues. It has dominated discussion.

Both of gfish and JoH intentionally vague and for me it comes down to who I believe and the consequences of lynching one over of the other. I did not like JoH's initial post of the phase where he assumed that both Ox and Monkey were scum. He played last game. He's seen the many different allegiances and red text was Dragon City. Both Ox and Monkey fit that criteria. I found it hard to believe that he would make such a jump.

As for who I would lynch, right now I think I would still lynch gfish. After that, I don't quite know. Roy's buddying of JoH is a bit troublesome and Destro is acting more clueless than usual, almost as if he knows it's his standard M.O. now and he can play it up.

Throwing shade at JoH, yes I did. I have my reasons even if you don't like them. I also know this is a game with many allegiances. It's not standard mafia/town/neutral. Just because he may have caught someone in one faction who could be bad doesn't mean that he's 100% good. And I am correct about how lynching gfish is beneficial to JoH regardless of JoH's alignment.

If GFish and I are both town aligned, it is not good for me to get him lynched. GFish is food at getting participation out of players, something I need to do my job.

I'm not 100% sure he is bad. He's just my top choice, which I stand by.

Roy is right... except that Afterthought is dead. Kaput. Done-zo. Deep-sixed. Shuffled off his mortal coil. You get the idea.

So instead they should have more of a Purple Wedding type party. Throw a big feast, maybe some dwarves jousting, songs, general merriment. Then serve a nice big pigeon pie, with some wine to wash it down with. And just surreptitiously drop a little crystallized poison in the king's cup to solve that problem, hmm?

Last night was just fine for me. Successful, as far as I can tell.

I was going to pretend that I thought Lamplighter could be bad this time, you know, to try to keep him alive longer. But I feel like the evidence has leaned toward an LL that is opposed to Sineater.

This all makes sense to me.

Hopefully I'll feel more creative by the end of the day.

@Roy, it's day two. Nobody is cleared till day 4 in my mind.

Also, I'm okay with lynching gfish. Misdirecting a high priority target such as Jack is not something town should do night one. Track him, doctor him, cop him, those things that allow you to find his alignment is what you do.

Misdirecting him doesn't help town early game.
