"Come, my comrades!" Hussar said. "Giant robots? The Imperial Guard deals with such things before breakfast!" Rallied, the Guard combined to take down the Skyscraper Wonder Woman robot.
This brings to mind a question I have been meaning to ask you about the Colossals. We don't usually play them this way, but it's possible to play them cheaply just to use them on their Colossal Retaliation click. What's your opinion on this - if we choose to bring them in at that point level, can we immediately use them for the Retaliation? Or should they have to wait to be around for a turn to actually have been in play for the attack they're retaliating against? I'm leaning that way, but I don't think we've ever discussed it.

I think the wording tells us everything. So yes, we can play at the 15 point level and use the figures that way. But they have to be targeted to use c.r. Let me know if I'm missing something there because if I'm wrong, it's a conversation.
Rick tks Jakeem to G10 and boosts his dv.
Jakeem takes up tk.
Enter Hammer. He ports to G11. Starman boosts his av.
Jakeem tks him to G16.
HENRY to E9.
Hammer targets Martinex and should be able to use both his Personal Tank and Advanced Tech sp together to make a ranged attack with rce on Marty but maybe hitting Jinku. Needs 5, rolls 6. KOs Marty & does damage to Jinku also.
So if I'm right he's using rce to get 4 damage and gets +1 for the extra hit target. 3 to Jinku, is that right? Here are the sps in question.
...THAT'S MORE LIKE A PERSONAL TANK: When Hammer makes a range attack targeting a single opposing character, he may also target all opposing characters adjacent to that target. When you do, modify Hammer's damage value by +1 for each hit target.
ADVANCED TECH GENIUS: Hammer can use Enhancement and Ranged Combat Expert.
Jakeem sides to H8, taking stealth again.

They themselves don't have to be targeted. The trigger is simply "choose an opposing character that attacked The Skyscraper Wonder Woman or damaged a friendly character since your last turn."
So as long as the targeted character his somebody they're fair game.
I feel that makes it a little too easy though. Bring in the Colossal and Retaliate out of nowhere? But if you think it's okay to do it that way, we can for sure. I just foresee using them a lot more that way if we start doing that.
Regarding Hammer...I think that would work but let me see if that's been ruled on.
Back to colossal retaliation, though. Yes, if we want to bring in a figure to use cr at the 15 point level then it would have to go up against someone who 'damaged' another figure we could do it against that figure.
And my point was lost, since it's incorrect it doesn't matter. I do think we shouldn't do this or maybe 'once per each game'. It seems too easy to abuse.
And the ruling I found is that Hammer is perfectly legal to use that way. So Martinex is a KO. Jinku takes 5 -2 for Invulnerable, so 3.
Warstar Charges, picking up the LO in F20, ends F17, attacks Hammer. AV11 +3 for the Hammer and Lil on DV18. Gest 9. Hammer himself blocks Sandman's LOF. 4 +1 +1 for Lil is 5after Toughness and a KO. (You had to know I wasn't going to let you do that again)
I need a TKer. I'll go with Isis. This turn though, she'll just use my ID Card, bring in XXS Skids who will move to G16 to block Hammer, then Sidestep to G18 where she will use her 18DV and Defend on Hussar, Smasher and should it come to it, Warstar.

So basically, best way to put this is, we can use a Colossal at the "retalition only" point value, but they can't use the Colossal Retaliation on the turn that they come in. They must wait at least one turn to use it.

Yes, I'm down with that. However, since it's quite possible we'll lose that figure in a turn it seems a risk but sure, that works.
I can't be shocked at losing Hammer.
Peggy Carter is next. Starman makes her av 11. Starman tks her to G10, she'll rs to G12, ee on Smasher. Needs 7, rolls 7. There was a 5 there so Skids can pc: 7. 1 to Smasher. 1 to Hussar.
Wildcat ports to K16. Needs 6 to ding Manta. Rolls 7. 3 to her.
Jakeem picks stealth and perplex, making his dv + 1.
Test 3 barriers.

Wouldn't Smasher still take one after invincible with Peggy's ee?
HENRY to K15.
Wildcat to break? 1. Ok, attacks Manta. 2. Test 3 makes it 9. SS is 2. 4 to her. That's a ko.
Giganta is in. Let's do an all the eggs in one basket thing. Starman and Rick make her damage 6. She ports to G11. Charges to I14 attacking Smasher. Needs 6, rolls 5. Ugh. Has flurry: 11. Your pcers aren't in range to reroll so Smasher takes 4 + 2 (perplex) + 1 (HENRY's empower). KOs him.
Starman tks BS to G10.
He moves to block Smasher.
Jakeem stays with stealth and invincible.
Time for new stuff crossing 7k.
