"As I tol' the real Wolvie, last we tussled...Bang! You dead!"
Remember when Gambit was awesome? Remember when Chris Claremont was, too.
*sigh*
Yeahhh...I think Claremont has Alzheimers or something. Can't remember the story line page to page, and that's why he has those little boxes that recap everything that's ever happened ever, cause he can't remember.
Now they're giving him -another- X-Men book, but another alternate reality one. 'X-Men: Forever'. Bleh.
With Gambit, I think they're just pushing the 'he's a rogue who plays both sides of the fight' aspect of his character too much. The -one- instance with the Mutant Massacre was awesome, and added a lot of depth to the character.
They just need to write him him with wit and charm, and always winds up on top somehow. Enough of his 'dark past' already.

Those were some of my favourite X-Men stories ever, Craig...and, yeah, it's hard to explain to people who hate Gambit based on how he's been for the last ten+ years why he was so awesome back in the day.
Speaking of the Legion - now that it's firmly entrenched which Legion is which, are we dividing up the Legion characters accordingly? (It was pretty well known before but now that they've each been assigned an Earth of their own are we going to do the same as we do with all the other alternate-Earth breakdowns?)
"Nobody important? That's amazing. You know, in 900 years of traveling time and space I've never met someone who wasn't important."

It's been going on for a year - they're just going to do "volume 2" now (as apparently the first year was volume 1).
The really odd stupid thing is that it was supposed to be "This is what would have happened if Claremont kept writing X-Men after X-Men #3"...yet it's not even in synch with where he left things at that time.
Yeah, Claremont needs to go back to the pasture.

When they announced it, I was excited. Then I read an interview with CC where he basically said, "All the costumes are different and it will be in line with modern times..." I was very "WTH?" about it all.

I really, really liked Legion of 3 Worlds and would love to have them separated.
While we are all here, Did we decide on the Trade Commiss thing? I only ask because it's coming up fast and one of the aspects would be those who didn't roll high in the core draft order could if they wanted trade RP's, future trade picks, mid-season draft picks, what have you to move up if this position is in place. I believe the objection was raised about keeping track of such transactions, I voluteered to do it. I propose to either
A) Have a sticky OR
B) post it in my Blog here at the Realms

I recall that we discussed separating the Legion figures out over in League 1 a few seasons back and decided that it was simpler to keep different versions of the same character (e.g., Cosmic Boy, Lightning Lad, Mon-El) in the same REV progression. However, Legion teams of different eras were allowed; Season 4 had both the Levitz-era Legion and the Threeboot Legion.
HCFL Teams: The All-New, All-Different X-Men and the Justice Society of America
And from what I hear it will get muddled again as according to an interview the new Legion book will have characters from all 3 "iteretrations"
Well I know that there will be 2 characters from the Earth 247 Legion...XS (who was actually from the Earth 1 universe anyways) and Gates....wonder who from the Earth Prime Legion will move over...

Yeah, just to make it easier, characters that were in both Legions, were thematic for both Legions. Like the Mon-el progression would be thematic for all three Legions. Dawnstar would be only thematic for the Earth 1 Legion, etc. Just to make it easier. Because for the newer Legionnaires with cards, even though it's the Earth Prime costume, the background info they give is for the original Legion.

He hinted it wont be obvious at first who they all are as they may appear the same. Lead me to think one might be Chameleon (becasue who really could telll one form another lol)
