I don't want to play a game of chess where dumb luck or money decides whether or not I get to use a rook... Collectibility is a necessary evil of Heroclix, not a boon.

So I take a break from the site over the weekend and come back to 4+ pages. Damn guys. Well it is a message board, might as well post.

I know I wanted the "real" lanterns vs the 24 hour squad.
And what else do you know that makes the set disappointing.
The dials is what is disappointing. I like comics, but I play the game to play the game. For competitive gaming, there isn't much in terms of playability that is going to be in this set. This is of course my opinion, no need to counter argue it or anything. We all know everyone's tastes on here.
In terms of comic teams, I don't read as much DC as I do Marvel. So there are few comic figs I'm looking forward to. And more often than not, they're not SRs. Looking forward to Damian Robin, Parademon, and hopefully a Ragdoll.
I still have connections and get inside info from time to time. Most of the set has been spoiled so you can see some of the reasons I was told to stay away. Now just waiting for Web, that is going to be nice.

Welcome to the Realms big guy. Where's the love Team Vegas!?! One of the new guys actually took our advice and got on the Realms and you virtually ignore him. I for one am glad you're on here. Check out the Units Section. Very cool.
Here's a breakdown of the people you've met and their handles: LuckyMusolino: Roland - The big (in terms of girth and obsession) nerd with the beard. squirecam: Charles - The lawyer with glasses who introduced you to Superman Prime. SHIELD001: Justin - The young guy who introduced you to SCAM, that big f'in figure that lights up. E-Sleazy: Eric - The black guy.....seriously that's how everyone knows him. New Jeff: Jeff - big surprise there
Actually finished that POS story yesterday. NOT wasting my money on the follow-on story.
That's one of the reasons I keep Tim around. He buys everything. I just read his copies. Glad I didn't spend my money on it. It was middle of the road. Good art, interesting metaphysicial concepts Johns brought up, but just average in terms of story.
Also, did that pull-out spread feel like when you were a kid and hit the reset button on the NES to anyone else???
And at least it wasn't Final Crisis.

At one point Tyler talked about having one at Battlezone. He is back in town. Send him a PM to find out.

Had an interesting thought. It seems like NECA was trying to save on production costs with this set. Same sculpts with multiple paint jobs, generics, fewer figures in the set, fewer LEs, no cardboard. When you think about it, kinda makes sense.
This is the first set they are using their own money for pre-production, production, and distribution. In the time of development, HoT hadn't been released yet. They weren't sure how that set was going to sell and how the consumers were going to react to a new company and after such a long layoff. That, plus the economy, and other factors; there was a strong possibility BatB wasn't going to make them any money and even lose money for them.
Now that HoT has done so well and the consumers have responded that they will support the game, I think NECA will put more money into future products and we will get better products because of it. The Watchmen set will be a good litmus test for this, and the fact there is such a long development time for Web supports this.
BatB is what it will be. We've had bad sets before. The future looks good to me.
I know everyone is Lady Gaga over BatB spoilers, but there are other things going on in the world besides HeroClix.
Shane Carwin now hits for 5! Not Frank Mir.
HBK earned his moniker the Show Stopper. What a way to go out Shawn. I salute you John Cena style.
Duke just won the national championship. Coach K to the Nets. LeBron to follow?
Clash of the Titans sucks balls! I'm talking a pack of Sinister that contains nothing but rookies suck. Don't waste your money.
Only 30 days until Iron Man 2. I'm doing a midnight show.
McNabb got traded to the Redskins! A serious shocker there, in the same division. Wow. Serious ramifications to the draft in a few weeks. Interesting to follow.
Ro-gan is back on the Realms. Him and Asz kissed and made up and he is back. Hell has officially frozen over.
Here's a question I pose to everyone. Which is better?
Having birthday sex with your current girl on her birthday
or
Having birthday sex with your current girl on your ex's birthday
My mom is coming to visit next Sunday. Will be here for a few weeks. I'll bring her by some of the tourneys to meet you guys. Won't be able to stay and play, but she wants to put names to faces for my friends.
She wants to go see the Rat Pack show at Union Plaza. Has anyone seen that show or heard anything about it?
Well if you would read his signature, this is Oasis Nick. He's been playing at Oasis the last few weeks. If you've read my blog you would've seen his name on the pending status in the rankings post. One more tourney will get him in and that should come this Sunday with Heroes & Villains.
He is not to be confused with Nick "Frank Mir got Outwitted" C. or dumbo06 as we all know him.
R- I'll pick 'Sex with GF on her own birthday', I seldom held a grudge against old GF's enough to take malicious glee in bespoiling their birthday... and even fewer times did I remember their birthdays. :s
B- Nothing is 'The Sprit' bad. Though, Clash was a pretty big loss. Glad I hopped in after a showing of 'How to Train your Dragon', which was actually fun enough to live up to its expectations.
TUESDAY NIGHT: 400 points Unrestricted at Battlezone. 'Fun Play' according to Tyler. Come give me a reason for the drive.
I'm spending tomorrow morning in the tattoo chair. Wheee!
The Inhuman of Team Vegas,
Black Bolt of the Vegas Illuminati
Ro-gan is back on the Realms. Him and Asz kissed and made up and he is back. Hell has officially frozen over.
Really? Wow! ...checks temps in Hades...

Don't even remember when my Ex-Wifes B-day is. First one, no question!

Saw it at the Sahara 9 or so years ago. Probablly a diferent cast... Was good back then. Should be good now.
Cap let me just say even the rookie beats the cap once in awhile so the fact that mir lost was just something that had to happen and your a dooshe bag for taking 2 hits on that and for the record coach K is not going to the nets
Vegas Style- F.O.C.U.S THE Rookie/The Gauntlet Runner of TEAM VEGAS
Lance Storm of the Vegas Dungeon
STEP YA GAME UP
Maybe, depends on her points and dial. I was never that big of a WC abuse player. That's more of Eric's bag. Or a certain Exp Ultron player from back in the day.

The Spirit is the biggest epic failure in the history of epic failures. Nothing comes close, ever. I got dumped on Valentine's Day once. I'd rather go through that again than sit through The Spirit again.
Clash just kinda bored me and pissed me off somewhat that I was out $11.

I wish I had your history. Lets just say there's a reason I always have full coverage on my car.
