OK, this is similar to another question I recently asked.
Pre-Crisis all the way: name three heroes native to the Earth-One universe who participated in a JLA/JSA team-up before they officially joined the JLA.
I see the threads are back up and running.
Running like a native of Skull Island who just realized that the dumbassed contracter that was hired to build the gate made the doorway the perfect size for the giant gorilla to just waltz right thru
Gypsy's a good guess. Unlike the other new recruits of the Detroit League, she didn't officially join until sometime after Annual #2. But it was before her participation in the last annual JLA/JSA team-up, so no, not her.
Here's a hint: all of the incorrect guesses have had something in common with the third correct answer. (And just to confirm, Elongated Man and Zatanna are correct; both participated in the team-up in JLofA #'s 100-102 but didn't join officially until #'s 105 and 161 respectively.)
Well, sure the right answer has something in common with all the wrong ones - they were all JLAers. : )
I'll guess Hawkwoman. Seems like she could have been along for a crossover with her hubby before actually joining.

When our story opens, the Question is investigating an impossible locked-room murder mystery involving a midget and a 6'6"-tall call girl into heavy bondage. Don't worry, I'll explain later. It's all vitally relevant.

Hawkgirl / Hawkwoman is not a part of the weird Geoff Johnsian eternal recurring Hawkman plot point -- which I once assumed she must have been; how could you have a Hawkman-defining story like that and leave out Shayera Hol?
But she was not - Shiera Sanders Hall and Kendra Saunders are reincarnated heiresses to the Hawkgirl role in Hawkman's life, along with a Western-themed character. Name her.

And it was because of her that The Gentleman Ghost has been after the Hawk's all of these years. Or, that use to be the story, till the Infinite Crisis.
I think I thought that Hawkman's old West persona was Bat Lash, but upon further review, it was Nighthawk.
Your question, Mouse.
--better him than one of the Trigger Twins, I guess.
