I don't want to play a game of chess where dumb luck or money decides whether or not I get to use a rook... Collectibility is a necessary evil of Heroclix, not a boon.
Thanks to Juan for showing up tonight. Juan, you're a trooper!
Talked to John about a couple of things:
2)He's been approached by players to go weekly. So it is offical. 4/14 (release day!) will be the first of the weekly tournies at LSOM.
So hopefully, the attendace will be there for weekly tournies. Get it while its there to get! Don't blow it off and gripe when its back to twice a month.
Hope to see you on the 14th.
Weekly is not for me. With evening work outs at the gym and other stuff, I have to make choices.
just waiting on the Marshian Manhunter dial. So far, it's 0-3 for chase figures I NEED to get. Goin for that 0-4!

Trait - Power Levels Rising: Whenever an opposing character is KO'ed within 4 squares of Martian Manhunter, you may heal Martian Manhunter of 1 damage.
Speed - Decaying Embrace: Martian Manhunter can use Plasticity and Phasing/Teleport. Whenever an adjecent opposing character fails a break away roll, deal that character 1 damage after the action is resolved.

So is it 0-4 ?????
"And I shall make little coins with my head on them and place them in the thongs of your strippers."
I want supes the others are meh dial wise thankfully. We need some black lantern nons or something to fight the corps in the starter. Maybe on set set after WoS

TBH, Manhunter seems to be the most appealing dial of the 4 chases.
apparently, he has indomitable, and combined with his first click, he's pretty brutal.
His attack kinda goes haywire throughout the dial and he's a bit more expensive than I'd like him to be.
I'm kind of on the fence, but right now, I don't think I'l get him. I'd honestly like to see him get played, it looks a bit too bizarre to look at and make a guess to how well it'll play

You know, what I would have done is make an alt ATA.
Any character can "become" a BL, losing any TA and any keywords, but gaining the BL keyword. Give them the BL power-up trait. Add x cost to figure.
That way you have as many BL as you need.

Characters within 4 squares of this object that can use Barrier or Telekinesis modify their range value by +2 and can use Telekinesis for 10 squares instead of 8 (for all limitations of Telekinesis).
meh.

Characters within 4 squares of this object that can use Support or Regeneration only subtract 1 from their die roll instead of 2 when using those powers.
I like this one.

Violet Lantern
Light Object, Continual
Point Value: 5
Characters within 4 squares of this object that can use Mind Control modify their range value for that attack by +2 (figures w/ a range of 0 replace their range w/ 6 instead of 4 for that attack), and if that attack is successful, each character successfully hit modifies its damage value by +1 until its free action granted by Mind Control is resolved.
hmmm.

During your turn, whenever an opposing character within 4 squares of this object is KO'd you may heal 1 damage on a single friendly character within 4 squares of this object
ok.

BBS002 - Orange Lantern

When a character uses Poison within 4 squares of this object, that character is considered to be adjacent to opposing characters up to two squares away to which it has a clear line of fire.
Another meh.
Most lanterns are only useful if you have a specific power.
Given that, I suggest a "vegas rule". One lantern to rule them all.
If you have one, it counts as any other as long as you brought the card.
This way, no one has to worry about not getting their favorite lantern, and needing to pay $20 for an object.
Just a thought.....
