Yeah that's right. Parker Brothers mad a electronic toy called Rom. It had no back story, no character no nothing. Marvel made a comic about it creating the Dire Wraiths, the Space Knights and all that. So marvel owns all of those characters but not Rom.

Personally I loath Onslaught and have no desire to ever see him made as a click. However I do know people like the character and want him so if he's on someones list, I'm not going to bash them for it.

No, No its not. Sure not everyone may want Issac Newton, Frog Man or the Red Rajah but on the other hand some people would be happy never to never see a Dracula, Cyclops remake or FITB with your favorite character

"Crappy" is not an objective term. What you believe to be cool is not universally agreed upon. I highly suspect by the nature of your post that I would honestly consider some of your favorite characters to either be crappy or, at least, crappy choices for the next set. They would certainly be obvious choices.
