I'm ok with it either way. I could add a few extra cosmic buddies to the Guardians, but I'm still happy with my 10.

I believe the "challenge" is that you can have more than 10 figures, but all those figures have to play at least 3 games.

I'm personally against it, but not drastically so. I think it gives just too much of an advantage to the teams with larger rosters like the Avengers. Team Venom is maxed out, whereas the Avengers could pick up any number of figures depending on the opponent at the time.

I also don't think having to play in 3 games is much of a control only because of the build totals we will be playing. It's pretty easy to squeeze those guys into a 600 point build. I also think the rules should apply to all or none, and I don't want to HAVE to find room for certain figures 3 times.

To give an example, if I had Professor X on my X-men team (I don't but I could have) I wouldn't want to use him in most games. I usually only save Mind Control for opponents with big brick or tentpole type figures. I realize he has other uses and that isn't the only way to use him, but that is generally MY strategy and I don't want to have to give up playing Wolverine for a game because I have to wheel out the Professor to meet the requirements.

Decisions decisions ... I do love my Legion though ... its the only monthly I'm reading now.

It wouldn't be an unlimited amount, like the Avengers can have a "What if everyone who has ever been an Avenger stayed an Avenger?" type of team. It was a way the LOD could have all of their 13 man-roster, because when else could he? But I wasn't going to force others to do it, but still needed to make it balanced. 600 pts. when Bizarro is a third of it mandatory because you need to play him? MSU himself might not want to do it, but it would be fun.


You have to let go of the "it gives him a competitive edge!" aspect. The people gathered around this campfire don't seemed to concerned about it. The guy who was thinking about grabbing Spidey isn't going to get Cosmic, I'm not a fan of V Icons Supes, at least the hit and run HSS tactic with him.


Again, I'm fine either way (and will be even if the JLI guy takes Ralph and Dinah and does the challenge).

Don't you want to see de_craig_o run a U-Foes team he might not otherwise run?

I'm running a themed team with Immortus as the centerpiece. I'm pretty sure it's obvious I'm not going for competitive edge here.

I think that was the point. You could sign up for it (and I just might) but then have to use each figure 3 times. I assume to justify keeping the figure from someone else.

I can actually take 16 clix figs for my theme. I can not confirm Graviton was a member, even though Wikipedia says he was. The chance to run The Wrecking Crew in a few games and the U-Foes in a few more is just too much fun.

Edit - If I knew the point totals for the season, I could plan better for this.

I put them up earlier. pregame, Games 1, 2 and 3 400 pts. Games 4, 5 and 6, 500 pts. and 7 and 8, 600 pts. Hope that helps.


The use 3 times idea was to insure those that could didn't scoop up tons of pieces. i would also say that each should have an upgade of some sort, but bad die rolls might prevent that, and what would I put on the Phanthom Stranger if I took him? and assuming I got 10 of any one stat with him?


And would those who took the challenge be eligble for a mid-season draft, if we have one?

Assuming stepper stays with his line-up (and he can change it if he wants if though he said he wants to keep it as is), i would add these three:

11. R CD Ralph (if Step really doesn't want him)
12. R CJ Firestorm
13. U CD Adam Strange


That would leave only uber support piece Phantom Stranger as the only piece not already picked that is theme for my team that is not used. And I just can't see using it 3 times. I would him once if I drafted it in the mid-season, but not 3 times.

yeah I think 10 is enough I could fill my line up out with 2 more guys

12 Black Widow
but I think we are good where we are. Depending on how this Works (hopefully super awsome!) after this season I can see my self going way under the 10 guys and doing the infinity watch at 6 guys or a straight sinister 6.
